Laken Declan [6:13 PM]
Hate. That was the word that best described her relationship with Cai. She had set out to teach him a lesson about toying with hearts and somehow how had ended up trapped. It was alright some might say the two if them were still playing some kind of game. She wasn't sure she knew all the rules. She sighed as she sat down on the steps keeping her thoughts to herself enjoying this moment of quiet.
Cai Furst [6:33 PM]
Her feelings was inconsequential to Cai. She could hate him all she wanted it would not change a thing. Her fate was sealed. She was his. Plain and simple. He could do with her as he pleased and there was nothing she could do about it. She believed the game was still going on. she was a fool. There was no game. Just his ultimate victory over her. He would say someday she would accept her fate but she was mortal and they were not know for accepting the truth when they don't like it. "Hello Laken." He bent to kiss the top of her head. An intimate gesture without any of the intimacy behind it.
Laken Declan [6:55 PM]
That was what he thought. As long as she wasn't all yes I am yours she could still win. He hadn't won. She hadn't fallen for his ass. She mumbled as he kissed the top of her head. In time she would find a way out. She doubted very much he showed intimacy to anyone in his whole life. "Hello." She said the word a whisper as if saying it annoyed her.
Cai Furst [7:23 PM]
Did she really think that was his goal? That he only decided to keep her as his pet because he was trying to get her to fall for him? Ha that just proved how foolish she was. He kept her simply because he could. He kept her to show her that he had won. The game was over. She was his prize. Nothing more. Nothing less. Someday he might discard her but she should not be a fool to think that she had won. It would not be because he failed to break her. It would be simply because as a toy she no longer amused him. It would not matter if she came to love him at that time. He didn't care about her feelings. He didn't care if she came to care about him. Such things were inconsequential to him. Perhaps, someday she will realize this. Perhaps someday she will look at him and see that she was nothing to him "Say that again I don't think you put enough malice in it."
Laken Declan [8:19 PM]
It was his so called mo make them fall them crush them. It had been her goal to turn it around but it had all gotten mixed up somewhere. Maybe if she had he wouldn't have found her so much fun. God knows the reason he thought it was fun. She rolled her eyes. "I hate you. Enough malice there for you. I hope you fall down and die in immense pain." She said with a smile.
Cai Furst [10:28 PM]
She was not them, but besides that he didn't do it because he cared about their feeling. It was amusing to him. He enjoyed holding their hearts in his hands and crushing it. There was so much power in that---knowing in the end he held all the cards and he could destroy them completely with a few well-placed words. He was a god and they were powerless against him. "Not quite. I don't believe you are sincere enough in your hatred." He returned her smile with one of his own. If she had belonged to his father she might have gotten smacked or seen a flash of anger from her words, but there was none of that from him. Even that smile of his held no emotion behind it.
Laken Declan [11:01 PM]
It would seem not. She actually might pity the girl who actually won his heart if such a thing was even possible. "Hmm...give me a knife and take a nap and I can show you." She said in her sweetest tone. It seemed that nothing she said ever affected him and that was just fine it meant she could hate him openly.
Cai Furst [11:34 PM]
The woman whom had won his heart took it when she and their children had been slaughter, but he wouldn't expect her to understand that pain and how the only thing keeping him from crumbling against the weight of it all was this cold facade he had created. More than that he didn't expect her to care. He knew she wouldn't. He knew she would mock him--tell him that it what he deserved. He moved towards her, pulling out a knife and handing it too her. "Go and stab me anywhere you like. I won't stop you." He spread his arms, waiting to see what she would do.
Laken Declan [1:18 PM]
She might tell him that she doubted that woman would want him to act this way but really what would be the point. She glared at the knife and stabbed him right between the eyes because it seemed as good a place as any.
Cai Furst [1:38 PM]
She would not. She did not know his beloved nor did she know what she would say to him. She would not tell him how to grieve. It was not in her nature. He let out a laugh when that knife went right between his eyes. He grabbed the knife and pulled it out. The wound healing right before her eye. "You can stab me all you want. I'm not going down." Truth be told, she could have attempted this before now. He never kept knives out of her reach. In fact, they were easily accessible to her.
Laken Declan [2:34 PM]
She doubted a nice person would tell someone to hurt others. Perhaps she wasn't nice or perhaps she only cared of Cai's feelings. She glared and grabbed the knife and stabbed again even if pointless mostly because it made her feel as if she was taking some sort of action. It was of course not true but still. "It amazes me that anyone ever feel for you."
Cai Furst [2:52 PM]
She would never tell him to hurt others. The fact she would think that she would showed just how foolish she was. It should how little she paid attention. He never once suggested that his beloved would say such a thing. He said she would not tell him how to grieve. There was a difference. Clearly one someone with a small mind couldn't comprehend. He just watched her stab him with a bored expression upon his face. "People are desperate for affection. Any time someone even gives them an ounce of it they fall in love." He spoke these words as if he couldn't believe he had to explain it to her. Not irritated. Just a hint of you're an idiot you realize that right?
Laken Declan [3:27 PM]
And he was grieving by closing himself off and toying with people. She sighed as she stopped stabbing. "It is silly. It isn't real. They should want what is real. And yes I know they think it is but you just have to look at you to see there is no warmth in your eyes. Not real warmth anyways. Kind of makes me wonder if anything actually brings you joy and if not why the heck do you keep living."
Cai Furst [4:16 PM]
It appeared that she was done. He would have swore she had a few more stabs within her. Perhaps, she realized how useless the act was. "People are self-centered. They see only what they want. The more this is true the easier it is for my charm to work upon them. I could point at the moon and tell them it was the sun and they would see the sun." Would these words help her understand just how his powers worked? He didn't know. However, that was how an incubus or succubus powers worked. They wrapped their prey inside a web of lies only the strongest of minds could overcome it. They could see the lies for what they were, but the weak those whom had become Cai's victims so desperately wanted to believe the lies were true that they continued to believe them even when it became blatantly obvious that it wasn't real. "Playing with foolish humans like your friend brought me joy." Whether or not this was true was another story. Perhaps, there was even a small truth to it. He had done it for some time. One would think if someone didn't find some enjoyment out of something that they would cease to do it after awhile.
Laken Declan [1:57 PM]
"More like stupid if you ask me. You should see things for yourself. Figure out if it is the sun or hell if you want it to be the bloody moon let it be. Just don't let someone else tell ypu it is." She sighed maybe it was why she never fell for the lies of others. "I bet." She said rolling her eyes. "Maybe you should go find some more at least they adore you/"
Cai Furst [2:31 PM]
He rolled his shoulder at her words. She could call it what she want. It changed nothing. "Most people are sheep. They want someone to tell them what to believe." Or she simply haven't found a lie to believe in. "Whom says that I won't? You are my pet that doesn't mean I can't find toys to play with."
Laken Declan [3:00 PM]
She supposed he was right. "You are horrid." She wished she could stop him but so far she had not found a way. She had hardly found people he actually liked. "Do you really enjoy my hate that much?" She asked him. She already knew the answer but figured she might as well ask. "And I am not your pet you insufferable prick."
Cai Furst [3:17 PM]
"So you say." He rolled his shoulder at her words as if her opinion didn't matter. Which was probably true. He regarded her a few moments, trying to figure out the angle of her question. Was it one of her attempts to get one up on him? Was she falling for him in spite her best effort not to and found the idea of him hating her hard to bare? Was it another reason completely unrelated to either of the previous ones he stated? "Hate you? Don't be silly. Hate is just as strong of an emotion as love and I have no heart to feel such things." He moved towards her, grabbing her chin. "You are. Do you want me to buy you a collar and leash, and lead you around this way just to prove to you that you are."
Laken Declan [3:49 PM]
She wanted to say so I know but did not. It wasn't either it was more a frustration thing or curious on why anyone would want to be hated. Maybe sometimes a small strange voice would seem offended but she quickly quieted that voice. "I should have know," When he pulled her chin she stared at him for just a brief moment before yanking away. "Like I would wear one."
Cai Furst [4:30 PM]
There were strange people out there but it wasn't her desire to be hated that he was thinking of, but her desire not to be hated. "Yes, you should have especially since you had called me heartless before." Those words were not far from the truth. He had an hole where his heart once sat. He smiled at her words. "Like I would give you a choice."
Laken Declan [1:30 PM]
"You are. That is why no point stabbing there. I could do it all day and find nothing." She told him. As if stabbing anywhere else was effective but hey details. "I am sure their are girls that would love to play pet with you. Go find one."
Cai Furst [2:08 PM]
He gave no argument to her words. Why would he? He was what he was there was no reason to deny it. The only response he gave to her words was the slightest shrug of his shoulder. "What is the fun of playing with a girl that is already broken? I prefer my pet has a little spirit and watching as it vanishes over the course of time."
Laken Declan [2:21 PM]
He really could not could he and it made some small part of her sad that same part she pushed aside. Do not feel bad for the bad guy. "Pfft. And next thing you will be trying to get me to play house and make you blueberry pie." She didn't know why she didn't say apple wasn't that staple but any ways. "And I can be all yes dear and no and let me run your bath."
Cai Furst [2:33 PM]
"Don't forget you'll be barefooted and pregnant." Blueberry was his favorite, but she wouldn't know that. He never spoken of his favorite anything around her. They ate together on dates but they never had a deep conversation regarding his likes or dislike or anything like that. "Oh, you will but it won't be for awhile."
Laken Declan [2:53 PM]
"God no." She said her hand going to her tummy. No she had no way of knowing she just said what popped in her head. Perhaps he had ordered it on a date on time and it had stuck there. "Never ever." She told him getting close to his face as she said it.
Cai Furst [3:07 PM]
He didn't order blueberry pie more than other types of pie. He made sure never order the same thing too many times. "You say this now."
Laken Declan [3:11 PM]
She just looked up at him and smiled. "We shall see."
Cai Furst [3:18 PM]
"We shall" That was part of the fun. Would he break her before he got bored of her.
