Mason Devore [7:51 PM]
A grand city came into view as their ship made an end of their journey. It was nothing like what Makariy had seen. Oh, sure the city of the lands he came from were beautiful, but this...this place were simply breathtaking. The buildings extended to impossible heights, but the most astonishing part wasn't the look of the city, but the people that populated it. There seemed to be a representative of every type of people from his lands here, and than some he never laid eyes upon before and they mingled together. There seemed to be no separation of race. He saw those with skin as dark as a starless night sky walking hand in hand with those with skin pale as the freshly fallen snow. A few eyes glanced at the ship, but overall no one paid attention. The ship hit the harbor, and he waited with an contain excitement for the okay to leave the ship. It would be good to have solid ground beneath his feet. A few minutes passed before he was given the okay. He climbed over and was greeting by a tall dark-skinned man. It was darker than Daryos, but not nearly as dark as some of the others he had seen. The man smiled at him. "What brings you to Ishayla?" It took him some time to recognize the language. Daryos and his wife had given him lessons on the tongues that were spoken here. It was the only thing they told him about this land. They didn't teach him all the possible languages. Just the most frequently spoken ones. They had been impressed by his abilities to absorb languages.
However, knowing several languages didn't make it easier to know which one was being spoken now. The man showed no sign that he noticed Makariy slow answer. He just continued to regard him with that smile "I have a personal matter to attend to" Makariy finally said. Was that the right answer? He knew why he was here yet at the same time he wasn't exactly sure. His answer seemed to please the man, whom just nodded his head, jotted something down upon his paper "Have a nice..." his words were cut off when he noticed Daryos. "Daryos..." he broke off in a language that Makariy didn't understand, but both man clapped each other on the forearms, and Daryos pulled the other into an hug before leading him off somewhere.
Simone Marquis [8:06 PM]
Trip by sea could be so tedious. It felt like she was on that boat forever as the city finally came into view. A slight smile curving across her face. This place was wonderful and she had a feeling it had a million entertaining things as she existed the ship. Listening briefly to Marariy as he explained his business and frowning slightly as Daryos was lead off. A slight shake of her head as she moved off the ship to stand on the dock.

~ She'd been watching the docks as the ship pulled in to moor, she loved watching the waters. Seeing the newcomers as they arrived for the first time. It might be why, with excitement glittering in her eyes the female came rushing over to Makariy and Dimitra. Extending her hand in an sudden greeting. ~ New comers! Hello. Welcome. I'm Ríona. ~ A few people cut her semi amused looks, as if this exchange happened a lot. But Ríona paid them little mind focused as she was upon greeting the new people. ~
Mason Devore [8:28 PM]
He turned his eyes towards Riona when she spoke to him, raising a brow at her extended hand. People here sure are friendly. He wasn't really certain what to think about that. Nor did he knew what to do with that extended hand. His eyes moved towards Dimitra. She knew the custom of this land better than he did. From what he had gathered she had been born here. "You may call me Makariy." He at least knew what an introduction was. Through, he did get a feeling from the ones gathered that Riona often made a habit of greeting people when they came off the ship. Her friendiness reminded him of his sister

Another delay? She thought as the native decided to greet them. Her eyes slipped towards Makariy as if to say don't ask me. "Wonderful." She said shaking the girl's hand before pulling away. "I am Dimitra." Before allowing her eyes to sweep around the area.
Ríona Shane [8:52 PM]
~ She'd always been the friendly sort, probably why only a handful of people actually paid her sudden appearance mind. It also didn't occur to her that Makariy might not understand what her gesture meant, not at first. But when he doesn't take her hand, she offers him a soft smile. Shaking Dimitra's hand a moment later. ~ Nice to meet you both. First time here?
Mason Devore [9:02 PM]
He didn't know if they counted as a delay. He didn't know where they were suppose to heading, or exactly what they were suppose to be doing here. He knew it had something to do with the nothings and the fact he was as Dimitra had referred to him after she killed Arienne that he was the last dragon. Other than that, he was just a chicken running around with its head cut off. For all he knew, Riona might be able to lead them to the direction they needed to go. Perhaps, he should go to some ancient temples before his people fled across the sea or read any text written from that time. A library? Oh? That what she wanted him to do. "It's my first time. Dimitra is a native." Or was a native. Wait, she might not be a native of this land. There were other lands here. Either way, his point still stood.

She doubted that the friendly greeter had the information she was seeking but she eyed the girl just the same. That would be a place to start though she was thinking more of the underground sort. The kind of places that held the books no one wanted you to know existed. "I am though it feels like a lifetime ago."
Ríona Shane [9:13 PM]
~ Who knows what she did or did not know, the only way to be entirely sure would be to ask her. If she couldn't tell them, she might even know someone who could. The perk of being an exuberant friendly type, you knew a lot of people. ~ Oh! Well welcome back then. ~ She grinned towards the female before tossing Makariy a curious look. ~ So what brings you here anyway?
Mason Devore [9:22 PM]
One never knew. Maybe, she was the leader of some underground cult that worshiped ancient deities. "Is that why you told me nothing of this place? Afraid it changed too much?" He was half-teasing the redhead. He regarded Riona for a few moments before deciding to go for it. The worse she could do was stare at him like he was an idiot. "Do you know what this is?" He pointed to the marking upon his face. "I need to find someone whom can remove it." Easy enough. It wasn't the only reason why he was here, but it was a big part of it. And anyone whom knew how to remove the marking would have the other answers he sought.
Simone Marquis [9:31 PM]
"Something like that." She was not really one to speak too much of her past. She waited as he asked her questions keeping an eye for anything that might seem interesting. While it was true friendly people knew people she found they knew people like them open. And she was looking for a different type.

~ The teasing made her grin, it was always fun to see the way people interacted. The question made her shift closer, leaning in to get a closer look at the marking upon Makariy's face. ~ It looks like some kind of...magic branding. At least I think so. Haven't seen many people who willingly get tattoos on their face. Unless they're drunk. ~ Stops herself from rambling and tilts her head. ~ I could try and point you towards some options. ~ She thought she knew the types of people to ask, the quiet ones that kept to themselves. As if guarding secrets. ~
Mason Devore [9:50 PM]
Dimitra's desire to keep her past a secret made her a perfect match for Daryos. They were both as secretive as the next, but Daryos had an openness about him that Dimitra didn't seem to process. "I wasn't exactly willing." He wasn't willing at all, but that was neither here nor there. "That'll be great." The worse that could happen was she'll lead them to a dead end. If that happens the only thing he needed to do was turn around and go back the way whence they came.

She wasn't sure she cared why anyone choose to get the mark. It was enough that they choose and those that did not well life sucked sometimes. Riona's glance towards her was met with a blank face that gave away nothing of her thoughts. "Must we?" She asked Mak as she followed after him. "If we follow those trying to keep to themselves we are most likely going to be following every criminal in this place."
Ríona Shane [11:03 PM]
I could do that too. ~ She added when asked to show him libraries or ancient ruins. Her feet moving at her brisk gait, even as she pretended to be unaware of the fact that criminals were also the type to fit that category. It would be a bit of a luck of the draw gamble. ~
Mason Devore [11:17 PM]
"Do you have a better idea? Should we stand in the middle of the road until what we are looking for hit us?" It was a gamble. and whom knew a criminal might be exactly the type of person they were looking for. "Good. We have options" He turned his eyes to look around the city. It was beautiful. He was trying to put things to memory for when he had to traverse these streets on his own.
Simone Marquis [11:26 PM]
"Of course not. Apparently we should follow a stranger that we know nothing about till we find mysterious acting people. Pretty sure we could have people watched regardless. For all we know she was sent to lead us astray." She said with a huff. As she walked down the street. She knew much of where they were though sometimes had changed. She wasn't sure she believed in luck though some might say that the fact she knew it when she saw it was a form of luck.
Ríona Shane [11:30 PM]
If I wanted to lead you astray, I wouldn't have bothered to introduce myself. ~ She pointed out, usually when folk were up to no good, they didn't stop to tell you who they were first. And if they did, they'd never volunteer their correct name. She didn't seem upset by the distrust though, she looked almost as if she was expecting it. Weaving her way through the people still milling around. As she led them further from the docks. ~ (edited)
Mason Devore [11:45 PM]
"It's better than doing nothing." He didn't think Riona was sent to lead them astray. He was usually pretty good at telling such things, but he wasn't perfect at it. He had been mistaken in the past and he could very well be mistaken now. "Even if she was sent to lead us astray we can handle it. We could torture her and whomever she leads us to for information." He watched Dimitra for a few moments. He was curious how things have changed, but he wasn't certain if she would tell him. Than Riona words caused him to laugh. "I know a thing or two about leading people astray." As a nothing he had been assigned jobs that required him to pretend to be something he wasn't. It was hard to convince someone to tell you their secrets if they didn't trust you. "If you wished to deceive us the best way to do us is to gain our trust."

She broke out laughing right there. "Oh my dear girl that is exactly what you would do. I hardly think we would just follow someone that told us nothing of themselves just follow me." Actually they had no way of knowing it was her correct name and even if it was she could believe they were going to die so no harm. Or it was common enough she would be hard to find. "It is possible you just like helping people but one must be cautious darling." She looked at Mak. "Torture is so tedious it takes forever."
Ríona Shane [2:37 PM]
~ She blinked at the laughter, utterly baffled. ~ I've been told I'm too altruistic to trick anyone. ~ Her shoulders arched into a brief shrug. ~ And I definitely wouldn't have told you my real name. That would have been a rookie mistake. ~ She glanced over her shoulder. ~ I get it. I'm a new person. But please don't torture me. I only want to help.
Mason Devore [2:48 PM]
"Perhaps. However, neither of us knows you well enough to make that assessment." His eyes caught a couple of men as they walked past. He might not have thought anything of it, but he was certain he saw them before. It wasn't strange to see the same people in the crowd. Yet, he couldn't help getting the feeling that this was more than a coincidence. He tried to catch Dimitra eyes, hoping to draw her attention to their stalkers. "You might have if you believed it wouldn't matter if we knew your real name. I won't torture you unless you do something to deserve it. I am not one to torture for pleasure."
Simone Marquis [3:30 PM]
"Yes, no torture unless you deserve it." She said with a slight smile her eyes or just the corner drifting towards the men whom appeared to be following them. "At least not by us I can't make promises for the rest of the world." Her eyes flickering back towards Mak prepared for whatever might happen next.

Mason Devore [3:35 PM]
Nice.
Ríona Shane [3:36 PM]
This is true. I'm sure you'll learn it for yourselves soon enough. ~ Especially if they kept spending time around her. She let out a breath she didn't realise she'd been holding. ~ Oh good. ~ She seemed completely obvious to the stalkers they'd acquired. She definitely hadn't noticed them yet. ~
(Pretty.)
Mason Devore [3:55 PM]
"I'm sure we will." He didn't know if they would continue to spend time around her. This might be their first and last encounter together. Through, it would be nice to have a friend within a land he knew nothing about. "No one can make that type of promise" He had figured Riona did not notice their stalker or she was acting like she didn't for some reason. It didn't take long for those men to approach them. "Come with us." They spoke in a thick accent, thicker than the one that had when he spoke within Riona's language. In fact, it was so thick that it was difficult to understand, but somehow Makariy knew what they said. "Why?" Of course, he wasn't going to come with them simply because they commanded it. He just wanted to see what they would say. They glanced at each other. They hadn't expected him to refuse. "Come with us." They said again, this time they attempted to enunciated those words more clearly. It only made their accent more noticeable, and whatever they were hoping to happen didn't...
Wait, something was happening. The marking upon his face was growing and burn. It felt like his entire face was on fire and that fire was slowly spreading to the rest of his body. Yet, he did not scream. The only sign of displeasure he showed was an hissing sound he made when when the burning sensation started. Those men moved closer to him, speaking within his native tongue instead "Bizimle gel, Hiçbir şey. Kaderini yerine getireceksin." There was an overwhelming desire to obey them--to do as they commanded.
Simone Marquis [4:04 PM]
She just nodded at Riona. So many things were found out with time. Like now it seemed the time for the stalkers to come in play. Her eyes darted towards them briefly as they gave their commands. The accent threw her for a moment but she wasn't off her game for long when she saw the mark glow and heard the words. Damnit she thought pulling a long what appeared to be stick from her hair the needle inside wheezing through the air nicking one of the stalkers who seemed to fall to his knees. "Whatever you are doing needs to stop. He has about ten minutes before my poison kills him. So, your choice my darlings."
Ríona Shane [4:11 PM]
~ It wasn't until the males spoke that Ríona actually noticed them, slowing her gait to a stop in order to narrow her eyes upon them. ~ Can we help you? ~ Her gaze bounced from Makariy, who's face she noticed starting to light up. Okay that definitely wasn't an ordinary tattoo, good to see her instincts hadn't failed her. To Dimitra in time to see that needle whiz into action. ~ Hey, maybe you two should be on your way.
Mason Devore [4:33 PM]
The men didn't even glance Riona's way, but one of them spoke with her making it clear they heard her words. "This does not concern you, little one. Move along." Whether he meant those words because she was tiny physically or as an insult that meant she was unimportant was difficult to say. Whatever the case they gave no response to her next words. Their focus was upon Makariy. They moved closure them him. "Bizi inkar edemezsin. Zincirinizi tutuyoruz. Başka seçeneğin yok, ama uymak. Şimdi bizimle gel" Makariy felt the command rather than heard it. He wanted to obey. No, it was not a want. It was more primal than that. It was like breathing. One didn't want to breath. They just did. It was like that. Yet, he did not move. There was a bigger part that wanted to refuse their order. He needed to refuse. Those men snapped their eyes towards Dimitra when one of them was nicked with her needle. Laughter erupted from their lips. "Kill us if you must. It matters not. He will go where commanded."
They hadn't actually told him where to go, but the meaning was clear enough. He would wonder until the owner of his leash seized it. At the very least that was the intention. "Yok hayır." He growled. "Ben son ejderhayım. Sana itaat etmeyeceğim" Like his desire to obey or his urge not to obey those words came from something primal. He didn't know what being the last dragon meant. Than he took all that fire that had been spreading throughout his body, trying to make him submit and pushed it back at the men. The fire was brighter and hotter than any he had seen before. Those near the men were engulfed within the flames just as the men were, and those whom weren't close enough to get burnt to a crisp received burns of varying degrees. The seriousness of the burns depended upon how close they were to the men and Makariy. Makariy, on the other, hand appeared to have not felt the fire.
Daryos Elliott [4:49 PM]
Daryos emerged from a flaming building and made his way over to where Makariy and his two companions stood. "I was enjoying a nice drink with my friend when the tavern burst in flames. I asked myself how could this happen than I notice you two." His eyes drifted from Dimitra to Makariy than repeated this process several times. "Tell me. Which of you did this? Did you use your flaming needles?" He asked Dimitra before turning his attention to Makariy. "Or did you unlock a new power?" Than his eyes snapped towards Riona. "Or was it you? No, you are not a child of fire."
Simone Marquis [5:20 PM]
She should agree with the stalkers and tell the girl to leave before things got dangerous but there might be more waiting to pick off anyone who saw what they did. The words made her frown no one was holding his leash but her and she was about to prove her point when they burned. Her eyes on Mak. "I could have handled it." She told him when Daryos showed up. "That is what you get for having drinks with an old friend instead of getting to work. We get impatient and burn things." It wasn't what happened but the point stood.
Ríona Shane [5:24 PM]
~ She scowled at the men, little one? Really? She wasn't that short damn it. Folding her arms across her chest she gave them a defiant look, only to squeak and jump back when flames erupted from...she wasn't sure where. The appearance of Daryos made her blink, several times. ~ I uh...I don't know what happened. I just met them. ~ Holds up her hands whilst shooting a questioning look between Makariy and Dimitra. ~
Mason Devore [6:14 PM]
"Huh?" He turned his eyes towards Dimitra. Honestly, he had not been aware of the things happening outside of himself. How was he to know she had things in order? He really wasn't aware that he had burnt them. Yet, he somehow knew he did. He turned his eyes towards Daryos. "It would seem that I did." Yet, the question was what type of power did he unlock? Did he gain access to fire? Dragons were the master of fire. No, they were more than that. They were the flames themselves, at least that what the old stories said. Or did he just figure a way to send spells back to someone.
Daryos Elliott [6:23 PM]
Riona was little compared to Daryos, but than again most people were. He was a giant of a man that towered over seven feet. He smiled at Riona's words. "I suppose you would not. It is hard to look at the impossible and believe." Like Makariy and the two men whom had approached them he spoke with an accent, but his was different and if spent any time near the docks she would know just why--the tattoos that covered his body gave his heritage age. He was one of the Lehamani. His people were known to come from across the sea, and were known to have quite the reputations as pirate. It wasn't that they sought to steal and plunder. It was just the idea that a man owned something was a concept they could not grasp. If they wanted something they merely took it. The only expect were people. They never took people. A person only owned themselves. Two people were only married as long as both wished it. If one party didn't wish it than they would be divorced. "I did my job. I brought him here, I do not need to hold his hand and lead him to his destiny."
Simone Marquis [6:35 PM]
"We could tell you but then we would have to burn you." She told Riona not really serious but it was fun to say. As her eyes cut towards Mak as he tried to explain what happened. She snorted at Daryos words. "You thought your job ended there did ya?" Shee said with a clear look that said think again. Dimi was not really used to being told no when she wanted something. And right now she wanted help leading Mak to his destiny.
Ríona Shane [6:41 PM]
~ Her gaze darted between the three. ~ Wait, _you_ did that? ~ This was aimed at Makariy, her eyes so wide they looked like they were about to pop out of her head. A look that got worse with Dimitra's joking statement. At least until her gaze settled on the giant of a man. ~ You're one of them, the Lehamani. I see them sometimes hanging out around the docks. I'm fascinated by the water or something. Oh where are my manners. I'm Ríona Shane. ~ She offered the man her hand just as she had the other two. ~ What...destiny is this?
Mason Devore [6:52 PM]
"It seems so." He wouldn't be able to tell anyone how if he was asked. He just hoped that if the situation arose that he would be able to pull it off again. It would suck if that was a one time deal. Not that he wished to kill innocent people. It was just he knew that sometimes the innocent got caught in the cross fire. He turned his eyes towards Riona than glanced around the area. Everyone seemed preoccupied with putting out the fires he had started or helping the injured. "Apparently I'm the last dragon." He rolled his shoulder. He still didn't know what that meant, and some might think he shouldn't announce what he was aloud like that. Yet, he had the feeling that anyone whom wished him harm or to exploit him would already know what he was.
Daryos Elliott [7:05 PM]
"He did." He glanced at his wife, and laughter erupted from him upon hearing Dimitra's words. There were those whom might not get her sense of humor, but he did. It was one of the reason why he loved her. She had a Lehamani humor. The other reason came with her next words. She was demanding---head strong. Not that he was required to do as she commanded. He was a free man to make his own decision. It might mean they would go their separate ways and never cross paths again. "I was hoping I could at least be able to take a little break." His words were not admission that he had thought his job had ended there, but a promise that he would follow her wherever she wished to go. "I am." He shook her hand. "I am Daryos Elliott" Anyone whom knew a thing about his people knew that they did not have surnames. Their names usually consisted of things that told others of their heritage. Things like Daryos son of Markos or Daryos descendant of Markos the one-eyed fiend--if more than three generations have passed between the two. Or physical traits like Daryos the giant or Daryos one-eyed. Others it was based on deeds they perform.

Many people found her humor less than delightful and her attitude either made them fall in line or think they could control her. It didn't matter she was well versed in the game for power. She just cast him a look. "A little break? A bet the tavern has no more ale because of you." The tone was light as she turned to watch the people help the injured. One might think from her teasing she didn't care. She just knew people died no sense getting all emotional about it. When Mak revealed his destiny as it were to the girl her eyes darted towards him. "Hush. It isn't something for those not involved to know. The day will come for that. And you young lady I advise you forget everything you have seen or heard here for your own protection."

Ríona Shane [7:29 PM]
~ If the words made any sense to her, it wasn't obvious upon her face. He was a dragon? He didn't look like a dragon. But then she wasn't sure what dragons were supposed to look like. She shook her head as if to clear that thought from it. ~ Nice to meet you. ~ She chirps the words, brow furrowing in slight confusion. ~ I thought Lehamani didn't have traditional last names. ~ Then she blinked, fixing her gaze on Dimitra. ~ It's not like I'm gonna tell anyone.
Mason Devore [7:39 PM]
Makariy was very aware of the game for power. Through, he was often a pawn of the game rather than a player. As a nothing he could never seize power for himself, but people could use him to seize power. The only thing he didn't know was how the game of power was played here. Truth be told, when push came to shove it wasn't any different. They might not have the nothing, but that didn't mean they didn't have spies or assassins to deal with unwanted problems. That was his thought exactly. He didn't look like a dragon. "It's not like her knowing will make much of a difference. From where I stand she either did know or she did and my reveal showed her to be more than a helpful stranger."
Daryos Elliott [7:45 PM]
He nodded his head. "We don't, but your people traditionally have ones and you take the last names your spouse when you are married. Since my wife was from here I wished to honor her culture in some way." It was usually the wife whom took the husband's last names, but since he had none taking her was the obvious choice. "Not by choice, but with the right touch words can be made to spill from your lips. We have great enemies following us. It might be best that you went on your way and forget that you have encounter us."
Simone Marquis [7:49 PM]
She frowned slightly. "It isn't time to be revealed." She said with a sigh as Daryos words made her nod. "And the more she knows the more danger she could be in even if we assume she tells no one." She wasn't sure if it was a literal dragon. It could be like a powerful family line thought to have died out. Like ancient rulers or powerful magic users or something.
Ríona Shane [7:53 PM]
~ She wrinkled her brow. ~ Well if it helps I didn't know. Wouldn't have been surprised to almost become crispy if I knew. ~ She offers those words up helpfully before tilting her head to one side. ~ Everyone has enemies. ~ She shrugs. ~ But whatever you say. ~ She shook her head, yet more people who thought the friendly girl couldn't take care of herself. ~
Mason Devore [8:10 PM]
"It's my secret. I should be able to decide whom to share it with and when." It felt strange to say those words aloud. His entire life have been based on the wills of others. He might have done his own things at times, but he never looked someone in the face and told them point blank I will do what I wanted. It was Dimitra next words that caused him to frown. "That possible, but just encountering us could put her in great danger. I doubt those whom are after us will care if she actually know something when they decides to torture her. Perhaps, this way she will have something that will appease them." He turned his eyes towards Riona. "Why didn't you? You were as close as them." He gesture to several people whom were seriously burnt, but were not a pile of ash like the men whom had tried to lead him way. He didn't believe she couldn't take care of herself simply because she was friendly. He didn't know what her capability was. Through, she had done nothing to prove it. She might not have been given the opportunity. Everything might have happened too fast for her to react. Which that within itself did not bold well. Those whom joined them had to act on a dime even if they weren't always aware of their surrounding. However, he knew better than most that friendly did not mean weak or incapable.
His sister was the friendliest person he knew, but he trusted her to take care of herself when need be. It was why he left her sleeping on the ship while he did a little exploring. He knew that if anyone tried to hurt her that she would be able to handle it, and there was also the fact Daryos crew was watching her. He doubted that if she awoke and decided to go exploring that they would allow her to do it alone.
Daryos Elliott [8:20 PM]
"It is. We might not like it" He turned his eyes towards his wife upon saying these words. "But, we have to accept his decision." He didn't know what the last dragon meant either. He only spoke what he saw within his visions, and they weren't always clear. "The Gods shielded you." Why they did was anyone's guess, but they had further use of her. Perhaps, she will play a part in what to come or perhaps she had her own destiny. He could not say. He just knew she stood here whole because they decided it. "Yes, everyone has enemies, but some enemies are worse than others. If you follow our path you will face horrors beyond your imagination, and if you are not strong you will be consumed."
Simone Marquis [8:29 PM]
"Have I ever steered you in the wrong direction?" She asked her tone biting as she glanced from Mak to her husband. "And that doesn't mean now is a good time." Her eyes drifted towards Mak. "I don't care if she can appease them." She rather not have any info to give them should anyone go after her. On one note the less she knew the less likely they would and if they did she rather make sure it was nothing. She didn't believe that friendly people couldn't defend themselves she knew plenty. But this was on a different level and she had seen nothing that suggested Riona was more than just a nice girl.
Ríona Shane [8:35 PM]
I.. Don't know. ~ She furrowed her brow thinking about it, she had been standing close. And reflexively jumping back as she had shouldn't have spared her from at least sustaining a flesh wound. A lesser degree burn, yet she had not a mark on her. And from the look on her face, this had only just occurred to her as being strange. She blinked at Daryos. ~ The gods...why would they do that? ~ She had nothing to add to the bickering between the three and didn't really know what to say about them and their enemies. Her mind sort of stuck on the fact she'd been the recipient of divine intervention. If Daryos was to be believed. And she didn't see why he shouldn't be. ~
Mason Devore [9:03 PM]
Makariy designed no response to Dimitra's words about steering him wrong. He did not think they were directed towards him. The only place she had steered him so far was to this place, and he has yet to see that it was the right direction---even if something told him that it was. He just got the feeling they were more spoken to Daryos than him. True, a small part could have been spoken to him. "And what you get to decided when it's a good time? What else about my life do you want to decide? Do you want to decide whom I fuck? Or whom I give my heart to?" He glared at her as he snarled these words. "Obviously not. The only thing you care about is people doing exactly what you want. I am starting to wonder why someone like Daryos would marry someone like you." He wasn't giving the girl information that those whom were after them didn't already know.
Daryos Elliott [9:12 PM]
"No one said you were steering anyone in the wrong directions. It just sometimes you have to remember to trust people half as much as you expect them to trust you." The only response he gave to her words about now not being a good time was a shrug of their shoulder. It was not his place to say whether it was or wasn't. His eyes snapped towards Makariy upon hearing his words. "Dimitra has a bigger heart than you realize." Truth be told, his wife probably had the biggest heart of anyone he knew. She cared a great deal about people. More than she would ever saw aloud. In fact, those whom had been killed in the fire Makariy had created hurt her more than words could express. She would not show it, at least not here. She was not type display sorrow and grief in public. It was her people way. Those from money, at the very least. It was considered a weakness to cry in public. It was the same with his people. Not that they thought it was a weakness exactly. It was just grief were only meant to be shared with those closest to you.
He turned his attention towards Riona. "Whom knows. My people might believe I am an incarnation of one of the gods, but that does not mean I understand them any better than you."
Simone Marquis [9:23 PM]
She reached out and smacked Mak it was pure instinct but still he had hurt her feelings. "Of course not though I will weigh in if I think they were bad for you. I have been playing these types of games for a very long time I know when to play a hand. You only want to tell her because she reminds you of your sister. But you are going to end up costing yourself freedom before you even get it. But you go ahead since you know so much and figure it all out on your own."
Ríona Shane [9:28 PM]
~ Oh now they were fighting, she shifts from foot to foot as if she's not entirely sure what to do with herself in this situation, doing her best not to weigh in at all between the bickering pair. She'd learned it sometimes best to say nothing. Instead, wincing at the slap delivered to Makariy, she kept her attention on Daryos. ~ Your people think you're a god? You would think it would help you understand them better. ~ She's almost musing aloud as she said the last part. She almost wanted to ask what was so special about her. But she didn't think he'd know that answer either. ~ (edited)
Mason Devore [9:53 PM]
"I doubt that much" He told Daryos. He wanted to return to favor when Dimitra smacked him, but he managed to resist--barely. His hand had reached out and was about to make contact with her face when he withdrew his hand. "And you think I don't know how to play these types of game? You think I am an idiot---a fool." That was not a question. It was a fact. She believed that he was a moron. "It has nothing to do with her reminding me of my sister. I can't cost myself something I don't have." The closest thing to freedom he had was upon their ship, but that had been a lie. The only thing he had done was given his leash to someone else. "I will" He spun around, and begun to walk away. If she really think he was incapable of doing this on his own than she had another thing coming.
Daryos Elliott [10:02 PM]
"Yes. We believe that our leaders are the incarnations of the gods whom wished to experience what it is like to be human. We don't remember being gods. We want our time as mortal to be as complete as possible. I couldn't tell you which god I am. Through, each of my people have their opinions---even Dimitra might have her own opinion on the matter, but now might not be the best time to ask." He turned his eyes towards Dimitra whom was in heated argument with Makariy than the last dragon was walking away. He gave his way a look. She had said they were suppose to help him, and yet she was driving him away. Surely, she didn't mean they were suppose to convince him to stomp angerly towards his destiny.
Simone Marquis [10:12 PM]
"Of course I don't think you are a moron. Just really must you tell the first person you see. We don't even know her." Yes she had said they were suppose to do that but right now she was annoyed and she waved as he began to walk away. "You know most people wouldn't help your type to try and find a way to be free to begin with. So maybe next time you want to think poorly of me you should consider that." She just stared at her husband as if to say what.
Ríona Shane [10:16 PM]
~ She offered a sheepish smile towards Daryos. ~ I wasn't going to ask any questions at this point. Even I know when not to. I...think I should go. Perhaps we'll meet again. ~ If he was right about the reason behind her being spared than those same gods might cross their paths once more whether they wished for it or not. ~ It was very nice to meet you. ~ With those words she scurried off, pausing only to dip her head towards the pair in parting. ~
Mason Devore [10:31 PM]
"Yet, you treat me like I am not capable of making decisions. I didn't tell the first person I saw. If that was the case I would have told the man whom inquired my business here or a number of people whom I have saw before either of them. I spoke the words when they needed to be spoken." She had to trust him. More than that she had to trust he would know when to hold his tongue and when to wag it. His entire life had been knowing when to do that. If she couldn't trust him than he saw no reason to continue traveling with her. He didn't know what being the last dragon meant exactly, but he knew it didn't mean standing meekly within another's shadow. "You might have another goal beside helping me achieve freedom. I don't know." He turned his eyes towards Riona. "If you could point me to your nearest library that would be appreciated."
Daryos Elliott [10:37 PM]
"Good. I don't think you would get an answer aside from wrath. Perhaps, we shall." One of the reasons he stated was one that had them crossing paths. Another had been she was meant for a destiny not connected to them. Perhaps, she was only meant to live long enough to round that corner over there to take a blow meant for someone else whom is meant for something even greater. He bowed his head at Riona. It was his way of saying likewise. He moved his attention towards his wife. 'You know what' His own look told her.
Simone Marquis [10:45 PM]
"Close enough." She said with a wave of her hand. So, this their bickering this made the girl decide it was time to leave? Not the almost being burnt or being stalked by crazy people. Not the warnings of torture or death at the hands of their enemies. It almost made her fall over. "My goal is to help you and see how it all ends." Because she wanted to know. "Did the words need to be spoken?" She said with a sigh. "There is something about it...I am not even sure I understand the feelings." She really could not explain where any of her feelings on the matter came from. "Walberg Street unless something has changed. Though I think we should go that way but no one wants my help."
Ríona Shane [10:48 PM]
~ She pauses in her retreating only long enough to glance at Makariy. ~ She's right. The library is still on Walberg Street. I wish you luck finding your answers. ~ And she rounds the corner and out of sight with those final words. ~ (edited)
Mason Devore [11:06 PM]
"No it's not." He had to admit what caused Riona to retreat was pretty hilarious. Of course, that was assuming it was their bickering. It might have been she simply remembered she had some business that needed taken care of elsewhere. "Than help me." She wasn't the only one whom wanted to know. He felt as if the entire world was holding its breath waiting for this story to play out. "What do you think if I spoke them?" He didn't ask what she was talking about. Mostly because he was angry with her, and she made it perfectly clear that she would not give her help unless he obeyed her completely. He should be used to following orders. He had spent his entire life doing such a thing. It should make no difference if he followed hers or someone else. Yet, he had thought going across the sea meant he only had to follow those he choose. He thought that the magic that bonded him to complete obedience would be weak enough that he would be able to make his own decisions. "Thank you." He told Riona, watching was she vanished. "I never said I didn't want your help." He had thought his words telling her than help me was proof of that. "However, I think when it comes to decisions about my own life that mine is the one I should follow. Give your advice, but don't expect me to do things the way you want."
Daryos Elliott [11:10 PM]
"Something about what?" While Makariy was too angry to answer the question Daryos was not. He turned his eyes towards Makariy he spoke similar enough concept that he had spoken to his wife during this entire thing. It was Makariy decision. They might not like his choices, but they had to accept the ones he made. True, he might make the wrongs ones. He might end up getting himself killed. Daryos doubted that. He believed every step he took was within the gods' design and that he was not meant to die for a long time coming.

She gave Daryos a look. "Like...a trickle down affect once the masses know people will make up what it means making it harder to find information and well...like people will flock or something. If done too soon people could get hurt or more than if we wait till he knows his destiny." She wasn't sure she was great at explaining things. "And well she is like the representative of the average person if that makes sense." She looked at Mak. "I always boss those that I care about the most because I want them to live not fall in the mud and drown which I would let those I care not for do." She just glanced up at him. "Okay I think the woods might hold something." She said standing up looking towards them waiting to see if they were going to check them out or not.
Mason Devore [11:39 PM]
"I don't think my telling Riona will have that effect." Those around them still didn't seem to pay attention to their conversation, at the very least not the common masses. "And I trust her not to go spreading it around." His trust might be misplaced, but his gut so far has never stirred him wrong. He snorted at her words "So you say." He turned his eyes towards the direction she suggested they should go. He didn't make any movement. He was clearly debating whether he should move to the library or go to the woods as she thought. There was a part that wished to go to the library simply because he was still angry. (edited)
Daryos Elliott [11:50 PM]
"One person does not mean it will become common knowledge." He understood what she meant. She was afraid that too many innocent were going to get hurt if the return of the last dragon was revealed too soon. More than that she was afraid that it was the youngest innocents whom will be hurt the worst. "Regardless, words that have been spoken cannot be unspoken. The only thing you can do is ride the storm if it comes." She could cast a spell to make Riona forget this conversation, but that went without saying. He would never suggest doing a spell that made someone forget. "And I told you sometimes you have to let someone fall down. It is the only way they will learn." He turned his eyes towards the woods. It was possible that answers were there. He knew it was unlikely to be found within the library. The answers Makariy sought would be found in old forgotten places.
Simone Marquis [11:54 PM]
"Well I could undo it but I won't." She could make her forget but she would only if Mak asked her too. And she waited to see what Mak picked still hurt herself but she would still help him because she cared. And most those places she seemed to have an uncanny knack at finding.
Mason Devore [12:05 AM]
And he would never ask that. There was a part of him that didn't care if she was hurt. He was still angry with her, but there was another part that knew--in spite his belief otherwise--that she only behaved in the manner she did because she cared, and he didn't want to upset her. "We'll go to the woods." He felt that the answers his sought would be found easier. Well, some of them. It would give them a better lead, at the very least.
Daryos Elliott [12:07 AM]
That's what he thought. Things might progress in a manner that will make him decide erasing Riona's memories was the better option. "Very well." He had a feeling this was not going to be the only disagreement the two had.
