Cecilia Alzahrani [1:18 PM]
So, this was Earth. It sure seemed to be a busy place as she walked down the street and people moved inside of strange things called vehicles to get places. It was kind of noisy and everyone seemed to have an opinion and no one kept it a secret. It was like you were free to say whatever she found it baffling. Girls wandered without escorts and even claimed they didn't need men it was so different than home and she was feeling totally lost.
Defrim Rose [1:34 PM]
Earth was different from where she was from. Well, this part of earth. There were places here where people weren't free. Places where woman had to have escorts. Hell, places where they couldn't drive their own car, but not the good old U S of A. Here they pissed freedom and ate justice for all for breakfast. He was leaning against the wall, watching Cecilia, whom was sticking out like a non-native like a sore thumb. "Are you lost?" He called out. Whom knew. She could be sight seeing for all he knew, or she could be looking for something in particular. Perhaps, he should have waited for her to speak to him but she had blue hair for fucks sake. What kinda idiot pretended not to notice the girl with blue hair?
Cecilia Alzahrani [1:46 PM]
She blinked as the male called out. Perhaps she should have picked a less bold hair color when traveling to new worlds but who knew what was common here. "I don't know. I would have to have a place that I intend to go to be lost. I am learning. About this place...Earth...I mean.."Okay she probably sounded crazy. "I am confused. Where is your king? Or God? Or both?"
Defrim Rose [2:01 PM]
He wasn't dissing the hair. It looked good. She would find that blue hair was not unheard of, and depending on what scene you frequent it was quite common. "You can be lost if you don't know where you are going." He raised a brow. Where was she from if not from Earth? "I bet. We don't have a king. Well, not the land you are currently standing upon. Other nations have kings. England has a Queen. We have a president and he...I fucking don't...off doing presidential shit. He's a fuckface dickwad anyways." He gestured towards the church across the street. "You can find God in there, but I gotta warn you he isn't very chatty."
Cecilia Alzahrani [2:15 PM]
She blinked back listening to his strange way of speaking. "I see. He lets you call him such? Without punishment?" She was very confused by this. "Your God does not have one that speaks for them and enforces their will at any cost. Someone chosen to wield their power?"
Defrim Rose [2:24 PM]
"Ya. We have this little thing called freedom of fucking speech. I mean there is limitation. I can't go into that building over there and yell fire, but if I think someone is an idiot I can come right out and say it. Of course, if someone disagree they can say it." He rolled his shoulder as if that detail didn't matter. Through, he imagine if you came from the world without such a freedom that it would seem strange. He laughed at her words. "I'm pretty sure our God is a fake, and even if he isn't he turned his back on his long ago. Why does the Gods of your world have a chosen or some shit?"
Cecilia Alzahrani [2:45 PM]
"Why would your leaders allow that?" It seemed a strange thing to give people. "Fake? Our Goddess has the Godking he who she has chosen to be king of all though some do not fall in line. And with it comes powers magic you might call it. A magical path known as the Vir. How it exactly works I don't know I am not a user of it. That training is for sons of the Godking."
Defrim Rose [3:05 PM]
It seemed a strange thing not to give people, but that was his Eagle wielding American in him speaking. "Because those whom created our nation decided that it should be built upon a foundation of freedom and justice for all, and even if someone didn't like the rights granted to us in the first few amendments changing them isn't as easy as declaring the rule has been change. It has to be passed through the senate and house of Representative before it even reaches the President and I am pretty sure if it goes against our constitutional right that the judicial system would say something." He nodded his head at her words. "I never seen any evidence of a God. People just bicker over what he wants. It might make things different if he has chosen a representative, but whom know they might protest someone having that type of power. Heh, our magic is more hidden. I mean we got vampires and other shit, but what they are your guess is as good as mine."
Cecilia Alzahrani [3:12 PM]
"That would be silly. People with freedom would just spend too much time arguing over what to do. It is so much easier if someone is where it is decided," His world must be strange indeed. This talk of rights made her feel dizzy, "And what of girls? Who takes care of them?" So they had some magic that at least helped even if not everyone knew about it,
Defrim Rose [3:19 PM]
"Ya, that's why it takes forever for anything to be done. I mean in extreme situation the President's decision kinda become absolute---like in war or some shit like that, and we do have people standing superior over others. Like in a job or something like that. And we do have laws saying you can't do this or that. So, it isn't absolute freedom, but no one is going to lock me in a cell and throw away the key for saying I think our president is a dinglewhooper cuntbanger or anything." He could imagine it was overwhelming for someone from a completely different world. "No one. I mean individual might have different opinions, but everyone here has the same rights no matter their gender, sexual orientation, religion or creed."
Cecilia Alzahrani [3:47 PM]
She frowned. It was so different no wonder the girls were like all fighting back. "Guys don't tell girls what to do here? I mean like you listen to your father he arranges where you go like marriage or mistress and such and you go kind of thing? I can't imagine. I live to further the agenda of my Godking or see to the future of my sons to see they are named such. I am so confused. Don't you want to take care of your females?"
Defrim Rose [3:54 PM]
"Not here. There are countries were such a thing still happen, but here women tend to make all those decisions themselves." It was a cultural shock. One he could see that she wasn't ready for, but hey if he found his way into her world he might be just as taken back. "You don't have dreams of your own?" She'll probably say something along the lines of her dream is her Godking's dream. "Our females are quite capable of taking care of themselves. Don't get me wrong. We'll defend them, but we don't treat them as delicate flowers that will be broken with the slightest breeze. Our women don't like that. They consider it old fashion and down right degrading. And things aren't perfect. There are those whom claim that women aren't being treated the same as men."
Cecilia Alzahrani [4:14 PM]
She frowned. It was indeed. And she found herself rocking back and forth. "My dreams are to see my son succeed and be closer to my Godking." She told him as she sighed. "They shouldn't be. Men and woman are not the same. We don't think the same. We are born for different things, Men are born with muscles yo use them. Strong arms to protect. Woman with wombs to give birth. Soft skin to entice. It is foolish to think otherwise. It is against the very fabric of nature."
Defrim Rose [4:33 PM]
It was not what he was expecting her to say, but he was not shocked by her words either. He imagined that every mother had the same dream regarding their sons or children period. "People don't believe that. They believe women are just as strong as men and that some men are weak."
Cecilia Alzahrani [5:01 PM]
"People believe all sorts of things. I can't imagine how that must make the men in your world feel. I mean you are one. Do you have someone you wish would just like you take care of them? Like it calls to your soul? How does it make you feel if they don't?"
Defrim Rose [5:08 PM]
"I don't know you'll have to ask them. Some are fine with it. Others not so much. This is a society were people can have their opinion and express it too." He regarded her for a few moments. Of course, she would ask him this. It made sense. He was a man. "It fucking doesn't matter if I do. Talking about it isn't going to change things."
Cecilia Alzahrani [5:17 PM]
She simply raised an eyebrow at his words. "Are they fine with it or do they believe saying they aren't makes them flawed. And it does. I am guessing from your tone you do. I am not trying to hurt. It is just your nature. You look strong a warrior to e. Wanting to protect is in your nature. They are probably afraid. However when a man can't do his duty it makes him bitter and that makes him lash out at others or himself. He feels worthless and tries to regain the power he doesn't have or thinks himself as less. At least I think that is what would happen."
Defrim Rose [5:46 PM]
He shrugged his shoulder. He didn't know or perhaps the answer was different for each person. Things were complicated. Just because you had the freedom to say what you wanted didn't mean you felt free enough to do it If that made sense. "I'm fucked up. Don't get me wrong. I'm probably the most fucked up person you'll meet, but my issues has to do with not being able to protect those I love and more to do with my fucked up childhood." Whom knew perhaps the things that happened to him was normal within her world. "But whatever. It is what it is."
Cecilia Alzahrani [6:47 PM]
She looked at him and raised her eyebrow. "And how did that childhood happen?" She asked him. "Is it? It doesn't have to be. You could find a purpose in my world. I could put in a word with my husband, I am the favored wife of the Godking. I know that might not mean much to you. But it means something on my world. He values loyalty and strength."
Defrim Rose [7:03 PM]
Was she asking for details of his past or simply how could something like that be allowed to happen? "People are shit." Was the answer that he gave her. "Ya. You can't change the past. What makes you think I don't have purpose here?" He wasn't shunning her offer. Coming from her that was probably the highest praise she could give someone. "Besides, for all you know I could be the least loyal person you know. "
Cecilia Alzahrani [8:02 PM]
She just smiled. "I am a very good judge of character and something tells me you are loyal." He was it might be to those that accepted him but it was still there. She had always been good at reading people and it had served her well it was why she had lasted as long as she had.
Defrim Rose [8:29 PM]
"Only time will tell if you are correct." Through, that might mean actually going with her and swearing his loyalty to this godking than again he might prove it other ways. Whom know. "If I decided to go with you I just can't do it. I got people important to me. I just can't leave them behind." Did that just prove her theory that he had people he wished to protect. "But the question remains what brings you here? I mean you clearly didn't come for the sights."
Cecilia Alzahrani [8:42 PM]
She was and his next words seemed to prove it as a slight smile formed on her lips. "To learn. My husband has acquired some girls from your world and thought it best to know a bit of your culture in his dealings with them. As well as wanting to befriend a young man from your world that he hopes to make an ally of." It was the truth.
Defrim Rose [9:07 PM]
"Oh? You know the best way to befriend someone is just to walk up to them and say hi. The rest will just fall into place." Okay, it might be more than that and well there was something to be said about learning about another person culture. People tended to respond well to those type of things. "But if you are interested in learning about this world let me be your guide. First thing first are you hungry?"
Cecilia Alzahrani [9:48 PM]
"It can be complicated when legends say they are destined to oppose you. Or they are from another world or have a power to change bodies and kind of don't know they are doing it." She nodded at him. "Thank you. I am not sure I would do well here by myself. But something tells me you won't let anything bad happen to me. I am," She said with a smile.
Defrim Rose [10:06 PM]
"What is he hoping that if he befriends him that he might change things? Haven't he heard of Oedipus?" He already knew the answer to that. Of course, he haven't. He was from a different world. But what was someone whom was destined to oppose him doing here on earth. Wouldn't it make more sense to have him be born on their world homeworld. "No, I kinda have a soft spot for a pretty face. Well, than we just have to get you something to eat. I hope you like pizza." He hold his arm out to her. He didn't know how things worked where she was from, but old fashion belief says a guy escort women by allowing them to take their arm. At least, that what he noticed on shows set in past eras.
Cecilia Alzahrani [10:37 PM]
"I don't know. Maybe that he will see things different. Sometimes you don't know all the options. And being said you will change things does not always have to mean the way the masses think." she told him as she took his arm grateful for the offer. This place was taxing and she leaned into him as they moved. "Pizza?" She did not know that word but she would find out.
Defrim Rose [10:55 PM]
"I wish him him luck." He didn't know if his plan would work or if someone is meant to oppose you that you can change their mind. "That's true." This place was overwhelming if you weren't used to it. "You are in for a threat." He moved to a small pizza parlor. A voice thick with an Italian accent called. "The usual Defrim?" He pulled a chair out, motioning her to sit down before calling out. "You know it, Riccardo."
Cecilia Alzahrani [11:07 PM]
It was better than doing nothing. She sat down glancing around taking everything in as she heard him order. Wondering what the usual was as offered a polite nod at him for holding out her chair. "Is that your cook?"
Defrim Rose [11:30 PM]
It was. You didn't know unless you try. More than that you couldn't change a fucking thing by sitting on your ass. "Riccardo? No. He owns this place." Didn't they have restaurants where she was from? Within a few moments their food was dropped before them. It was a calzone filled with cheese, pepporni and sausage and a couple marinara sauces on the side. He grabbed a piece dipping it into the sauce and taking a bite. "Dig in."
Cecilia Alzahrani [11:50 PM]
"Ah." They had pubs. Small places for drinks and grubs but this was different. She glanced at the food as he grabbed a piece following his example taking a piece and dipping it in the red sauce taking a bit it was hot and she yelped a bit shocked as she was more cautious with the next bite. "Its good."
Defrim Rose [12:05 AM]
A roar of laughter escaped from his lips upon hearing her yelp. "Sorry. Sorry. That was rude of me." He said, after managing to silence himself. "It's my favorite." He took another bite. "You want to know about this world? Ask away?"
Cecilia Alzahrani [12:34 PM]
She blinked at the laughter. "My favorite is berries. I like raspberries best but really any kind." She told him with a smile. She had no idea where to begin there was just so much to know. "Where does your food come from? Farms? Who controls those? how many kingdoms are here? Are the separate? Do they believe the same as you do here? What are the classes?" She was rambling she knew it.
Defrim Rose [12:53 PM]
"I think there is a farmer market nearby. Once we are done here we can stop by there and see what they have." He figured she had a lot of questions, but there was only one way to get the ball rolling. "Well, yes. Farms from all over the world. It depends. Some are controlled by the person. Others a corporation. Than some yet a government. I think there is about 195 countries. Yes, and no. I mean some are completely separated. They have nothing or very little to do with other countries. Others are separated, but are connected by common laws. No. Not at all. There are some nations whom tend to hold more of the same belief that you expressed,." He didn't mind her rambling and he was trying his best to answer her questions while eating. "Upper, Middle, or lower classes. It might be labeled different in other places, and I am certain you can figure out what each class mean. And the great thing about this nation is just because you are born lower class doesn't mean you have to stay that way. I know from experience."
Cecilia Alzahrani [1:23 PM]
"Oh. Like an outdoor market? We have those. Berries are hard to get in our world." She told him. She listened to him talk as she nodded. It was complex but what place was not. "I was lower class as well. I tried to steal from the Godking so I suppose with a bit of luck we can rise as well."
Defrim Rose [1:31 PM]
"Exactly. It is the place that the local farmers bring their produce. They ain't really that hard here. I mean you might have trouble finding certain types of berries, and some aren't in season. So, they aren't the best." It was, but he had a feeling now more complex than hers. "I'm surprised he didn't try to take your hand. I suppose here it is a bit of luck too. There are countries here where if you are born poor you die poor."
Cecilia Alzahrani [1:41 PM]
She just grinned. "I think I amused him. He asked me if I thought it was wise to steal fro the Godking and I answered damn if I knew that was who he was I would have taken more. Something about it he found cute so he took me to his harem and I gave him a son...well four but only two were given his name one is dead. Two are young and are still going through training. My oldest he is the one that holds the most promise of all his sons."
Defrim Rose [2:00 PM]
"That's a good thing, I take it." He added the take it part because there are some whom might believe being claimed by this godking and having his sons was not ideal. He don't know there was something appealing about a harem. Of course, he would never have one, at least not in the way where he would just take a woman and put her in there. And if he did it wouldn't just be women, but that was neither here nor there. He never forced someone to sleep with him. Sure, he would take someone if they really wanted it, but they had to make it clear they would not cry rape afterwards. "I bet that makes you proud. I have no children. Well, that I know of. I fucked enough people one of them might had my child." He rolled his shoulder. Through, he had a feeling if they knew the child was his they would come to tell him. He wasn't exactly short on money, but they might not let him see them. He didn't exactly live a life one want their child to be around.
Cecilia Alzahrani [2:39 PM]
"It is better than being dead." She told him. She bet and he could have one it would just be those who agreed to it. Of course his culture seemed like it might frown on such things. "Ah, I see." It seemed they were done with their food. "Do you live close?"
Defrim Rose [2:50 PM]
"Some would argue that there are things worse than death." The more she get to know him the more she will realize he didn't give a flying fuck what his cultural thought. He fucked his own sister for crying out laid. He had engaged in a number of different types of fetish. A few he had said no too because well they were too sick for him, but he didn't really judge those whom engaged in them. Not in the same way that other people might. "Within walking distance."
Cecilia Alzahrani [2:58 PM]
"Death is it. Alive you can move forward...or change things if you want. You have options. Dead you have none. Dead is for quitters." She wasn't sure what he would think of her words but it was how she felt. She nodded. "Something tells me it will be an interesting place."
Defrim Rose [3:21 PM]
"Not everyone here believe that. Some regard death as just another step on your journey and that after you die you can be reborn or you go to heaven or hell, but I get what you are saying." More than that he could get behind it. There were was nothing to say for certain that those whom believed death wasn't the end was correct, and even they weren't when you came back you didn't come back as yourself. You were a whole knew person. "You will see. Through, if I am going to be honest. I don't exactly live a normal life." He reached into his pocket and threw several bills upon the table before making his way towards the door.
Cecilia Alzahrani [3:34 PM]
She nodded. "That is alright. Sometimes not being normal is what keeps one alive. It allows you to see things others miss." She followed him to the door. It appeared she would indeed as she went off to learn more about her new friend.
Defrim Rose [3:41 PM]
He smiled at her. "Let's hope that you continue to see my abnormality as a good trait." And they were off.
