Avery Mckinney [2:43 PM]
She sat on the edge of the water. How many times had she came here over the years she could hardly remember but it was one of her favorite places. To sit upon the rocky shore and let the water move across her bare feet. She had been scolded so many times to not get to close less she be sweep away. She didn't care she had always loved the sea.
Rhiriel Ward [3:10 PM]
Earth was a world filled with wonder. Even before he had fallen from grace he believed this was true. One shouldn't mistaken. Heaven wasn't without it wonders. It was beautiful. Every bit the paradise humans imagined it to be. Well, if they stayed within the sections that were made just for them. Yet, it was nothing compared to this. He found himself moving across the shore of the very same sea that Avery was staring at. In fact, he just passed her. He paused turning his eyes towards the girl.
Avery Mckinney [3:23 PM]
She really wasn't paying any attention to anyone moving around her. And people crossed all the time. She paid them no mind for all sorts of reasons so she didn't even glance up at the stranger crossing her path. Not even when he looked at her he was probably just giving her a curious look like many do.
Rhiriel Ward [3:47 PM]
He was not surprised that she was not paying attention. It was very common for people to become self-absorbed. It wasn't because they were selfish, at least not as selfish as one might think. It was just one could only take on so much of the world before it became overwhelming. He was not restricted by such limitation. It might be because he was an angel---fallen or not. It might even be his abilities. It allow him to take more things in at once. This allow him to notice things other people did not, but that was not the reason his attention turned towards Avery, He would have noticed her even if he had been self-absorbed. She was his. It was that plain and simple. "Hello" He moved towards her.
Avery Mckinney [3:51 PM]
She would have laughed at his thoughts. She belonged to no one other than herself. Of course angels weren't real either right? Fallen or otherwise. However, it was polite to speak to someone when they spoke to you so when the stranger choose to give greeting she returned with one of her own. "Oh...hello there."
Rhiriel Ward [4:17 PM]
Of course, she would think that. She didn't know the truth, but she would learn it. She will learn that there were more to this world than what she observed. "What is your name?" He reached a hand out to touch those locks of her. "Your hair is beautiful." He added. Perhaps, she had been told such a thing before. Perhaps, not. Through, one had to be a blind fool not to notice such a thing.
Avery Mckinney [4:23 PM]
She had been told it but most people didn't just touch her hair. She side eyed him like she wasn't sure what to make of the gesture. "Thank you." She said moving just a bit away as she watched him. "You a tourist or something?"
Rhiriel Ward [5:00 PM]
No, he imagine that most people didn't. It didn't matter what she thought of the gesture. She was his and he had the right to touch her. Oh, he knew she wouldn't realize this but give it time. She will come to accept it. He gave a slight nod of his head at her thank you. "Not at all. Are you a tourist?" Something told him that wasn't the case.
Avery Mckinney [5:05 PM]
She was not. Why would she ask him if he was if she was a tourist? She supposed tourists asked that of each other. "No. I live here. Not in the sea of course but not far. Where do you live?"
Rhiriel Ward [5:53 PM]
Whom knows. Curiosity? Perhaps, an attempt to make small talk. There were a thousand different reason. "No, I didn't think you lived in the sea. You don't look like a mermaid. Not far from here, either. A couple miles that way." He indicated towards their left.
Avery Mckinney [6:14 PM]
"I see. I have never seen you before. Do you come this way often?" If so it was one of those strange things that they missed each other or they just never seemed to pay attention to each other till this moment.
Rhiriel Ward [6:29 PM]
"Often enough." They had never encountered each other that much he is certain. He would have noticed her if they had. Their paths simply never had crossed each other before. It was a shame. He would have liked to have found her sooner, but there was nothing to do about that. He found her now. That was the important detail the rest was superficial.
Avery Mckinney [7:06 PM]
She nodded. She had never really been good at small talk perhaps it was why she spent so much time outside alone. So, she looked back towards the water not sure what to say now. "That is nice." Which was pretty lame thing to say if you asked her but it was the only thing that pooped in her head.
Rhiriel Ward [7:20 PM]
It didn't matter if she was good at small talk. He was not going to judge her upon that ability. She was his. There was nothing she could or couldn't say that would change that. "What brings you here today? Was it the same thing that always bring you here?" He moved towards her, reaching out to seize her chin.
Avery Mckinney [7:33 PM]
"I just like it here. It is where I come to just relax. You?" She said as he touched her again pulling away. "Umm...stop that."
Rhiriel Ward [8:08 PM]
"Oh? What do you like about it? The sound of the waves? The smell of the sea? A combination of these things?" He seized her chin once again. "No." It was a simple word, but one filled with such force behind it that a thousand words could not cause it to falter.
Avery Mckinney [8:22 PM]
"It is quiet and peaceful. And yes I like the feel of the waves against my bare feet. The soft sand. The sound of waves." She pulled away again. His voice causing her to blink. "No? Umm..you can't just grab people you know,"
Rhiriel Ward [8:49 PM]
"I see." He did not relent. "I can. I'll do as I please. What is your name?"
Avery Mckinney [8:55 PM]
"Huh?" She stared at him for the longest moment. "Avery. And that isn't how it works. I am going to go now." This guy was sort of creeping her out.
Rhiriel Ward [9:23 PM]
"Oh? And are you going to stop me? Are you going to scream in some vain attempt to get someone to help you? Do you think that someone will here you and come to your rescue?" He didn't care if he was creeping her out. He knew what he wanted and he was going to take it. "Oh, someone might come running if you scream, but I promise you that they won't save you." He seized her chin once again lifting her face towards his. "You are mine. It's that simple. You can accept it or you can't, but it won't change a thing."
Avery Mckinney [9:42 PM]
She had no idea what to say. "I am going to leave. Don't you have any manners?" She stared at him. "I am what? People can't claim people..." Okay he was crazy that was all there was too it. She stood up and started to move time to get the hell out of here.
Rhiriel Ward [10:17 PM]
He laughed at her words. "You are going no where." Of course, she would think he was crazy, She didn't fully comprehend the situation. She had no idea whom or what he was. "Of course they can. Haven't you been paying attention to history. People have been claiming each other since the dawn of human existence" He grabbed her, spinning her around and pinning her to the ground. "Look at me and pay close attention. You are mine. You can either accept it or you can't, but you can't change it. Run as fast as you want. Hit me. Bit me. Scream. Do whatever you want. I will get you. However, I promise the more you fight me the greater your suffering when I punish you." He released her, standing up. He watched her for a few moments. "I will tell you this little girl I am not bound by the small laws and restriction you are. and that vampires are not the only supernatural that walk among you."
Avery Mckinney [10:24 PM]
"I am so!" She told him. "Times have changed. At least here mostly..." She said as he grabbed her and pinned her to the ground instinct kicking in as she hit him as hard as she could but it seemed he would release her/ "What?" She eyed him again as she darted up and took off running.
Rhiriel Ward [10:33 PM]
He just smiled at her words. She was lucky that at this moment he was amused. "Time have not changed as much as you believe." He allowed her to flee. In fact, he allowed her to get far enough away that she believed she had escaped than he was there standing before her. "Vampires are not the only supernatural to walk among you."
Avery Mckinney [10:36 PM]
She didn't look behind her that would be dumb. Instead she just keep moving forward when suddenly he was there as she skidded to a stop and changed direction. "So? You still can't claim me whatever you are."
Rhiriel Ward [10:46 PM]
It did not matter which direction she changed into he was there blocking her path. "I can and I have."
Avery Mckinney [10:52 PM]
She glared as he seemed to be everywhere she ran as she decided she needed a new tactic. Picking up a stick she swung it at his head as hard as she could.
Rhiriel Ward [11:06 PM]
He grab that stick, wrapped his fingers around it and just snaps it than turn his eyes towards her with an expression that said 'Well, what is your next move?'
Avery Mckinney [11:10 PM]
She stares at him as he broke her stick and head butts him.
Rhiriel Ward [11:21 PM]
He blinks as she head butts him. Really? What was she hoping that would accomplish? That he would be knocked out or at the very least knocked back enough that she would be able to make her escape. Hadn't she been paying attention? He grabbed a hold of her shoulders and returned the favor. It was not hard enough to knock her out, but she would fell it.
Avery Mckinney [11:26 PM]
She hadn't known what she had thought to accomplish she just had to do something. And that was the first thing that popped into her head so she went with it. She blinked when he did it back rubbing her head. "Jackass." She mumbled kicking at him even through her head was now throbbing.
Rhiriel Ward [11:33 PM]
"You haven't seen anything yet." He just smiled at the kick before grabbing her head between his hands. "Does it hurt?" He asked with a slight mocking voice.
Avery Mckinney [11:35 PM]
She glared annoyed by the sound of his voice for so many reasons one of which being her throbbing head. "No it feels peachy." She spat back at him trying to pull her head away fro his hands.
Rhiriel Ward [11:41 PM]
"Don't lie to me. I know it is throbbing. continue to resist me and I will hurt you worse." He kept a tight grip upon her. Why did mortals have to be so stubborn? Why couldn't they accept defeat. Was he really going to have to beat her into submission. He didn't want to, but he would if she gave him no other choice.
Avery Mckinney [1:28 PM]
"It isn't my fault you have a hard head. What exactly are you anyways?" She said still glaring. Why wouldn't they be? Who the hell wanted someone to claim them and take them away from their home and such? Shouldn't you fight against such things? "You say I'm yours why the hell do you think that?"
Rhiriel Ward [1:43 PM]
"What did you think my head was going to be made of? Jelly? I am a fallen angel." It wasn't their desire to fight that he was speaking of, but their inability to admit defeat. It was clear there was nothing she could to escape, at least not at this moment. Shouldn't she save her energy and attempt to escape at another time inside of getting herself beaten to a bloody pulp and thus making it impossible to make an escape if the chance arose. "Because you are"
Avery Mckinney [1:48 PM]
"No, but still." She said with a huff. "Like Lucifer?" She seemed to be eyeing him wasn't that just a story? She shook her head. "And how do you know you just pick a random human and go hey you...you are mine?"
Rhiriel Ward [1:55 PM]
"No, but what?" A light laugh escape his lips upon hearing her words. "Yes, like Lucifer." Many of the stories humans regard as just a story weren't just a story. Through, the details might be different than reality. "Not at all. There is something about your soul that tells me that you are mine."
Avery Mckinney [2:15 PM]
"It seems harder than it should be." She said with a frown rubbing her temple. "So you fought against...God...too?" She seemed to be staring did that mean God existed? "Does that mean I am evil? Or am going to hell?"
Rhiriel Ward [2:29 PM]
"Do you head butt a lot of people to know how hard a head should be?" He smiled at her words. "No, I didn't fight against God. I wasn't part of the great rebellion" It meant a lot of things that she was going to come to terms with. "Not at all. I am not one of hell's denizens. In fact, most fallen angels aren't."
Avery Mckinney [2:37 PM]
"No. I just bet yours is harder." She said folding her arms across her chest. "I see. I thought that was how come angels fell." She seemed confused now as she looked at him. "Really? So what do they do? Like just not live in Heaven?"
Rhiriel Ward [2:48 PM]
"It isn't" Of course, she was confused. She was learning that what she had been thought was not exactly right. "Some not all. It would be like saying that all humans died in your world wars. It isn't even close to being the truth. Pretty much. What we do depend on the angels. Isn't that true for humans? If you are kicked out of your home is there this magical place that exist that you can just go and start a new life? No. Each of you find your own path. It is the same for each of us."
Avery Mckinney [2:53 PM]
She was sure that it was but hey. It made sense but still her mind wanted to say fallen were demons. "I see and you choose to live a few miles from me. I wonder what other things live close to me." She said looking around as if the answer was going to pop out. "God my head hurts." She mumbled.
Rhiriel Ward [3:00 PM]
Fallen weren't demons. In fact, many fallen might take offense to being referred to as such. Through, they would understand where such a belief came from. "I did. I only know a few. If there are more I cannot say." The answer wasn't going to pop out. Beings like him have become very good at hiding what they are. "Next you think of head butting someone you might reconsider it."
Avery Mckinney [3:04 PM]
She glared at him. "If you didn't claim me and chase me and break my stick I wouldn't have had to head butt you." She replied. "I am going home." She said with a snort. "Before I fall over."
Rhiriel Ward [3:07 PM]
"You wouldn't have to head butt me if you knew how to admit defeat." He snarled at her. His tone was a clear don't you blame this on me. "You are going to your new home." He lifted her over his shoulder and before she could protest they were gone.
Avery Mckinney [3:09 PM]
"I wouldn't have to admit defeat if you didn't want to possess things." She told him with a huff as she blinked but before she could respond she was flung over his shoulder and they were gone.
