It had gone well since she had returned to the city. She had always liked it here even if her life had gone crazy because of coming so many years ago. Maybe this time things with Mason and her would work out she thought as she moved down the street offering polite nods to those she passed.

Indivara had came to the city for his own reason. Truth be told, he came to earth for this reason. He could have came to the city when it was more feasible to meet his charge, but he wanted to explore the city and get a feel of what it was about. Earth was very different than hell. A fact he was reminded every time he set foot upon its soil. Different but no less beautiful. He made his way down the street, eying each person he passed and trying to get a feel of them.

~ She wandered through the streets, a to go cup from a coffee shop she favoured clutched between her palms. The heated liquid warming her hands through the container. Every so often she took a sip, her gaze flitting around to take in those around her. She wasn't really _looking_ for anything specific, she just enjoyed watching people. ~ (edited)

She just keep moving not really watching anyone.She was just out for a walk. If anything caught her eye she might grab it or something but other than that she had no real purpose.

It seemed they were all wandering about with no real purpose in mind. Okay, one could argue he had a purpose. His was the exploration of this city. His attention turned towards Ciel just as she moved passed him. There was...and the thought was lost upon running right into Meika, causing her to spill the coffee she was clutching between her palms if she didn't manage to somehow evade him.

~ She was so busy watching everyone else that she didn't even see the male coming. A squeak escaping her as scalding hot coffee splashed at both of them. Even as she dropped the damn cup. ~ Damn it! ~ She mumbled a curse under her breath. Lifting her gaze to meet his. ~ I'm sorry! I...didn't see you. ~ She always was quick to assume she was at fault. ~

She had no idea what it was that caught Indivara's attention. It could be any one of the connections she had but whatever it was got cut off by the coffee being knocked over. It would be Meika's words that would catch her attention. "Don't tell him sorry. He ran into you. You had nothing to do with that. He needs to tell you sorry. Like right now." She said her eyes falling on Indivara with a I am waiting look.

He didn't really know what caught his attention either. Looking at her was like looking at a little piece of home, if that made any sense. "If anyone should say sorry it should be you for distracting me." He turned his eyes towards Meika. "You're not seriously hurt are you?"

~ She flicked her gaze to Ciel, a blush darkening her cheeks. ~ I wasn't paying attention so...easy to assume I crashed into someone again. ~ She glanced down at herself then up at the male. ~ I don't think so. ~ Her skin stung abit where the coffee had splashed her and her clothes would probably need washing. "My fault? I did no such thing." She told him with a pout as she studied him trying to figure out if she knew him or not. "You crash into people a lot?" She asked Meika at the girl's words. It seemed everyone was alright so she supposed no harm no foul as the saying goes. "Anyways. Good day. I am Ciel Devore it is a pleasure." Might as well do the introduction thing.

"Are you calling me a liar?" He let out a mocked gasp of offense. "That was going to be my question." He told Meika. No foul. No harm. There it was. The familiarity about that had caught his attention. "Pleasure to meet you Ciel. I am Indivara Sadozai. A name that may or may not have any meaning to the pair standing before him, but if they knew anything about hell's politics they would know that name as one of the four horsemen.

There it was indeed. The infamous Devore family seeing how from what she knew he was a demon and a strong one. And of course there was her daughter in the scheme of things. It made her wonder why he was on Earth.

"Maybe both." He suggested. He wasn't on earth for her daughter if that what she was worried about nor was he after her. If Mason wished to drag her home he had his own minions to send after her. Truth be told, Indivara didn't have that much connect with the members of the Devore. He spoke to Mason and Jared a few times, but his half-breed status gave him more freedom to come and go to earth as he pleases. Through, even if he had been a full fledge demon he might not need the ritual the Devore offered his kind. Some of his kind simply got around the barrier. The ones whom bond themselves to the Devore might be able to get around, but they found benefits to the ritual. "Pleasure is all mine, Meika."

If he was here for those she held dear she would deal with it but something told her that was not the case. She shook all the thoughts off. She didn't think she would get drug home for no reason anymore or that she had guards or anything. She looked around as if checking before turning back. She was a Devore though not by birth. The infamous northerner that Mason had married.

"Your friends would know." He wasn't exactly announcing he was a demon. He didn't think it was normal for someone to run through the streets while screaming at the top of their lungs they were supernatural. Whom knew how many of those walking passed them now was something supernatural. Whom knows Meika might be something else for all he knew. Ciel probably had guards. Mason wouldn't leave her undefended, but she would be hard press to find them.

It had just taken her a moment to actually realise the woman had claimed connection to them. ~ I guess they would. ~ She didn't look like anything more than a girl, not that looks could reveal much about a person's origins. Na. She had none. Mason knew guards would make her mad and Deamiel would have only sent them when she was carrying Cerenda. And yes it was true in this city many knew the Devore family. She was just a human girl but no she doubted if she was something else she would scream it. Looking at Diva she asked. "Can I be of any help?" She knew he would know she meant the family with whatever he might be here for.

There might be those whom haven't heard of the Devore. Had Ciel heard of them before she came to New Orleans? Even if she had there might be those humans whom haven't. "Of course, they would. Aside from yourself. Your friends knows you best." No, looks couldn't reveal much about a person's origins. Looking at him one might not be able to tell what he was. Probably not. She didn't really scream that she was human either. No one really screamed what they were...expect for the little six year old whom ran passed them screaming "I Batman" He gave a half smile at the sight before turning his attention towards Ciel. "What can you tell me about this city?"

It was what happened when someone or something gained so much notoriety. ~ I thought it was family that knew you best after yourself. ~ She lifted one shoulder in a half shrug, as if it didn't truly matter which way around it was. Her eyes followed the child for a moment and she giggled. Before turning her attention back towards the pair stood with her. Sliding her gaze back and forth between them as she listened to them talk. ~

She watched the child for a moment and smiled. "All sorts. I mean we could get into history but I doubt that is what you mean. There is the obvious or what people believe and what is true. The strings are pulled by the dark magic families of which the Devores are the most powerful. Anything you really want goes through them. The best high school around here would be West Heights. The district is where you go to make connections or such while the docks is more shady deals take place."

There were probably those within the city whom didn't know of them. One would be surprised how self-absorbed some people were. If it didn't immediately effect them they didn't take notice of it. "Close friends are always family, but family aren't always friends." Would she understand what he meant by those words? He didn't know nor did he care. He just knew that not everyone were close to their families for various reason. "I might. maybe, I have a weakness for history. Tell me about West Heights? I recently acquired a job there."

~ She's quiet as she allows Ciel to give him the short list of information on their city. Eyes habitually flitting to watch the people around them, she just couldn't help herself. The statement made towards her dragged her attention back towards her companions. ~ Oh er I guess you have a point. ~ She didn't sound all too sure. ~

"The school has stood as I understand sine 1903. It hosts all sorts but the poorer students tend to go on scholarships based on grades or well knowing the right someone. A lot of magic families send their kids there my daughter went there before we moved to New York. The teachers are the best money can buy so you must be good or have influence to be hired." Either could be true seeing who he was but that was besides the point. "Why is someone of your rank teaching?"

"Some people have shitty biological families." He told Meika, making it clear he caught the uncertainty within her voice. "And their friends become their family. You might have heard of the saying Friends are the family you have chosen." He lived this saying more than he was admitting right now. However, there were no reason for either of them to know the truth. Through, they might guess it if they knew what he was and knew something of heaven and hell. Those like him rarely had a happy childhood. He turned his eyes towards Ciel. "How did you feel about the school on a personal level?" Her question made perfect sense. He might have wondered about her reputation if she haven't asked him this question. "I was asked to as a favor for a friend, and I might have a child that attends that school."

Lapsing into silence to listen to them talk of the school. ~

As she knew or so she thought from what she knew of him his family was not. But she didn't bring it up. It could be a bad subject with some. Her own family had been normal as things went. "I thought it was a good school. Though like so many things here it catered to much to the will of the clans. But that might stem more from my fighting with Mason at the time about how to raise our kids." He may or may not have heard of their past. "However the teachers are good. The school nice and such."

"Perhaps, or perhaps I have lived long enough to realize not everyone shares my experience." A true statement regardless of the truth of his childhood. "That's good. And your mother?" Not having one parent wasn't a big deal. He knew of people whom grew up perfectly happy with only one parent. Some with no parents. It wasn't necessary a bad subject for him. It just wasn't something he talked about. He couldn't change it, and in some strange way he was grateful to his childhood. It gave him the drive to achieve what he had. "Your disagreement with Mason only made these facts stand out more, I like to think." He heard of their past. Truth be told, he was rather good friends with Mason's demon. It was a friendship that formed like a number of Indivara's friendship when the two of them got into a physical confrontation over something neither of them could no longer remember. "Good."

~ He hadn't confirmed or denied her statement, but the feeling that he'd spoken his words out of experience still lingered within her. When he asked after her mother, she flinched. ~ I haven't seen her since I was two. I don't even know if she's alive. She left us. ~ Shrugs. Despite her father's oftentimes harsh behaviour, he was the only person she had. She didn't have siblings, unless you counted her best friend. She pursed her lips as she added. ~ It was a good school when I went...though that was a few of years ago now.

There was a time she had known a lot less about the world so she got the idea of not everyone sharing your experience. "It did. Though you could say Mason is a stuck in his ways as I am in mine." She adored Mason's demon he had kept her secrets and he was one of her friends.

"That must have been hard. Do you have any idea why she left?" He didn't expect she would. She was so young when it happened, and her father might never talked about it. Harsh did not mean cruel or unloving. She could if she wished. "Did you graduate from there?" Mason's demon probably wouldn't have kept her secret if he thought it was detrimental to Mason's well being. Hell, he probably kept her secret because he decided it was best for Mason. "It was probably that stubbornness that drew Mason's attention."

"Perhaps you should try and find out." She offered about the girl's mother. She had found that sometimes things were not what you expected and seeking answers was a helpful thing. She nodded at Diva. "It might have been. Though it also annoys him."

Just as he suspected. "Ciel is right you should try to find out, but only if you a prepared for the truth." He didn't know what she would find if she did. She might find everything she was told had been a lie or that her mother regretted leaving her. Both might be true. "Yes, the quality we admire are often times the ones that frustrated us the most."

How do I do that? Dad hates talking about her. I used to ask him questions as a kid, all he'd tell me is that she left and I should stop wondering about it. ~ Which always frustrated her because it left her feeling like she didn't really know herself if she knew nothing about half her family. ~

"Because your father was the only person who knew her. Ask those that knew her. Hire a detective. Research yourself. Hire someone to do a spell." She rubbed her temples as she shook her head. "Do you really think answers are always going to just be handed to you without work."

"If there is a will there is a way. You clearly know going through your dead doesn't get you the answers. Try another method." He turned his eyes towards Ciel. Those were a few good methods she could try employing. "But, only if you truly want to know."

Well no I don't think that. I just don't have much to go on. ~ She flushes, a sheepish expression marring her face. She definitely wanted to know something. ~

She sighed softly. "That is why you search for more." Ciel nodded at Diva there were so many ways to find out something if you wanted to know but determination sometimes played a role.

"You have something. Use that to find more" The fact she wanted more would play a role in her finding something. The more she wanted to discover the truth the more determination will play a role.

~ She nodded, breathing out a soft sigh herself. Part of her wondered how the hell she'd find people who knew a woman she barely remembered herself. But she kept those musings quiet. ~ Alright.

That was where the going out there and looking part came in. Finding those that did know, snooping in her father things, asking around, hiring help. It wasn't all dependent on what she knew. Anyways, she should probably get back before Mason sent out a search party. "I should go. It was nice to meet you both." She said standing up. "Perhaps we will cross paths another day."

Surely, she had her mother's name or even a picture. Perhaps. both. One would be shocked to discover what a name and a picture can find you. All she needed to do was go around and ask people if they knew her mother either by asking if they knew a woman by her mother's name or showing her picture. "The pleasure is all mine." He nodded his head. "Perhaps we will." He turned his eyes towards Meika. "It was a pleasure meeting you as well." Than he was gone.

~ Her father probably had pictures, but if he did he'd hidden them. She'd probably have to search the study, if she could get in there without him around. She seemed at a moment lost in her own thoughts but rousted when she heard them both speak of leaving. ~ Oh yes. It was nice meeting you both. ~ She offered the pair a nod, turning to leave herself. ~
