*It was easy to sneak out of the walled city once he had gathered his supplies, Mostly because he had used the secret passages that father had showed them when they were child in case they might need to use them to escape the city. The guards were not paying attention to those secret doorways. One would think father would have them guarded. Surely, he would know by now just how disobedient his children could be, but Rehor wasn't going to spend any effort thinking about it. No, his more pressing concern was finding a kill that would impress father to the point that he would never ban Rehor from the hunt again. He heard talk of a great ancient monster wondering the forest not far from where they were at--father might even be there on his own hunting trip. It might be great to kill the beast just as father stumbled upon them. He shifted his bow onto his back and quicken his speed. There was no time to waste. Daylight was fading fast and killing the beast would be harder in the dark*
Aerona Lyvanna [4:20 PM]
-She knew he was up to something. He was always up to something. It was a good thing she was quiet as she followed after her brother being careful not to be seen as she moved from tree to tree trying to guess where he was heading.-
Davina Conant [4:25 PM]
~ Neviah had her own reasons to be wandering outside the city walls at this point, but the moment her gaze caught upon...was that two of the Lyanna siblings? She abandoned whatever it was she'd been doing and quietly followed the pair. ~
Rehor Lyvanna [4:46 PM]
*Whether or not Rehor was aware of his stalkers he didn't show it. He kept on straight-ahead to his goal. It didn't take him long to find the forest where the monster was rumored to dwell. This monster wasn't said to be seen for many ages. He had stopped by the library to read a little on it before he set out. He couldn't find much, but he did find enough that if he came upon it that he was confident that he would be able to kill it. He stood by the entrance of the forest for a few moments. It wasn't fear or uncertainty that had him pausing for a few moments. He was just debating the best path to take to locate the monster. He knew where people said it was last sighed in the forest, but that didn't mean that it was still where it was last spotted. Well, he suppose there was no better place to start. With that, he begun to move again---picking up his pace. He was excited. He loved the hunt. He loved join father during his hunt. When he was younger he used to ride father's horse with him, and father would allow him to do the killing blow. Of course, after the animal had been injured enough that running away wasn't an option and it was probably good as dead anyways. Yet, he cherished the memories all the same. Father's arm wrapped around him, keeping him studied upon the horse while Rehor takes his bow and kills the beast. He pushed the thought from his mind. Time was wasting. He had a monster to slay*
Aerona Lyvanna [4:51 PM]
-What by the name of the dragons was he doing? He shouldn't be out this far. Bad things existed this deep in the forest and he had no help.. Father often hunted with a team when it was something really big. She let out a sigh as she lifted her dress and ran after him.-
Davina Conant [4:55 PM]
~ Her thoughts echoed those of the Lyvanna girl, only she was wondering why they'd both come out here? And without an escort to boot? Sweet dragons above Cyrren would blow a gasket if anything happened to them, especially after what had happened to the youngest boy. Maybe that was why she quickened her pace to dart after them. Someone had to keep them out of trouble. ~
Rehor Lyvanna [5:17 PM]
*Nothing was going to happen to him. He was his father's son. More than that he was not a toddler like Jacek had been, He was far from defenseless. He found the location that the monster were rumored to have been seen last. He glanced around. He needed to take the thing by surprised. There he spotted it---the creature was forging within some thick underbush. It was smaller than the stories would have suggested, but he didn't think twice about that. People often exaggerated the size of things. It still impressive in size. He slowly removed his bow, placing an arrow within it and aiming it at the monster. Quick and quiet. The monster didn't her him. He fired and the arrow flew through the air and when it hit the beast it let out this loud scream that shook the very ground. It didn't look back at Rehor---instead it took off running, crying as it went. Rehor didn't let this discourage him. He knew how deceptive these beast could be. It probably was trying to sneak up behind Rehor in order to kill him before he killed it. Truth be told, if the monster had noticed him first it might have taken off the same way. He loaded another arrow into his bow and rushed after it*
Aerona Lyvanna [5:31 PM]
-She let out a sigh as she noted what he was after. It reminded her of a dragon. Not exactly bigger than a dragonling, smaller than a great dragon, but it seemed different twisted somehow. She frowned as the ground shook and the creature took off standing there for a moment before taking after her brother.- Get back home. -She yelled following as quickly as her feet would allow.-
Davina Conant [5:37 PM]
~ Her brow furrows as her gaze lands on the creature the young Prince was shooting at, wondering what in the world the boy hoped to achieve. She winced when the creature cried, steadying herself as the ground shook in wake of it running away. She waits less than a second before giving chase herself, no longer bothering to mask her footsteps. She didn't care if the two royals noticed her following them anymore. ~
Rehor Lyvanna [6:02 PM]
*He glanced towards his sister. He showed no shock to see her there. Truth be told, he might have been more surprised to find that his twin hadn't followed after him than his eyes flickered towards Neviah and again no shock registered upon his face. If he had known she been there the entire time this wouldn't been surprising if not well it just showed he was capable of going with the punches as the saying went. He just shook his head at his sister's words before turning his attention back towards the task at hand. It was at this exact moment that a larger beast had position itself between Rehor and his quarry. It was than that Rehor realized his mistake. This was the one the people were speaking of. The beast let out a might roar before quitting down to a rumbling growl. Rehor slowly raised his bow, aiming it at the monster and fired, but just as he fired the monster whipped him with its massive tail. Rehor had no time to dodge out of the way. One moment he was releasing the string of the bow and the next the was intense pain within his gut. He looked down to see the massive spike upon the monster's tail had been thrust into his gut. He coughed, blood pouring forth from his lips and stumbled backwards as the beast yanked itself free. His bow falling from his hand just as his entails tumbled out of his open wound and his own body was falling forward not long after*
Aureline Rose [6:08 PM]
Ivy had been walking in the woods. Some might say it foolish to do alone bit she had nothing to fear from the beasts of the world. They were her friends. It was this fact that caused her to come upon the cene in front of her. She had heard the smaller creatures cries for help as it ran and she had followed the sound to the massive beast, Staring for a moment as if seeing or hearing something no one else could her attention suddenly darted towards the young prince as he attacked. "No!" Was all she was able to say as she ran for the beast stooping just short of the falling body looking up as the creature locked eyes with her.
Aerona Lyvanna [6:11 PM]
-When she realized a bigger monster was there she almost wanted to drag her brother away. But what if it followed them back to the castle? She stood frozen as the elf girl showed up forgetting about the other stalker as she stared not sure what was going on when she saw her brother fall and rushed forward to catch him falling to the ground with him.-
Davina Conant [6:15 PM]
~ The roar of the larger monster had Neviah picking up her pace, heedless of any branches that might catch at her clothing as she darted through the trees to catch up. Just in time to see the young Prince fall. Blinking at the sight of the elf girl she ran over, skidding to a halt and dropped to her knees beside the young royals. Her eyes assessing the boys wounds. ~
Defrim Rose [6:30 PM]
Cyrren had returned from his hunt to discover three of his children were missing. No one seemed to know where Cadenza had ran off to, but there was no trying to guess where Rehor and Aerona had went. So, it was them that Cyrren was after. He told the guards to keep an eye out for Cadenza and that he would join the search once he dragged the other two home. However, thoughts of dragging anyone home vanished from his mind as soon as he stumbled upon the scene and found that creatures tail dug deep into his son's stomach. He knew a fatal wound when he saw one. His son was a goner. There was no amount of magic that was going to save him. Foolish foolish boy. He shouldn't have tried to kill this beast along. It was true that Cyrren had killed impressive monsters by himself. It was true that he was a warrior of renown, and while Rehor might have been his son he was not Cyrren. He was a talented warrior, but he was not ready to face the beast such as the one that stood before him. Cyrren had been glad for that. It meant he was not like his own father whom raised his only son to learn how to fight quickly or be killed. It meant that his children had time to enjoy their childhood and not worry about the assassin's hiding within the shadows---assassins sent by their own father to kill them.
Yet, even if he knew his boy had been foolish he could not let the monster walk away. He had killed his son, and Cyrren was going to take its hide as payment. Without a thought, he leaped onto the monster's back and thrust his sword deep into its back. (edited)
Rehor Lyvanna [6:33 PM]
*Rehor dead*
Aureline Rose [6:36 PM]
She stood there looking up at the monster what was going on was anyone's guess. It even seemed to look sadly upon the boy as if something had occurred to it about to move toward him suddenly someone was poking it in the back. Ivy let out a scream. "Stop that. You don't understand." The creature moved one clawed hand towards Ivy to try and sweep her underneath it away from the hunter.
Aerona Lyvanna [6:39 PM]
-She was on the ground and joined by a strange woman whom she blinked at trying to shake her brother. ehor. Wake up. -Her eyes moving towards her father. He could handle himself. Whatever was the red head doing? She hadn't a clue.- Come on Re. Don't do this. Open your eyes. Please. You can even be mean to me. I don'y care. Just please say something. -Each words sounding more desperate than the last.-
Davina Conant [6:43 PM]
~ It looked bad, one might even say it was hopeless. That didn't mean she wasn't going to try, reaching for her magic she attempted to mend the injury. It probably wasn't going to do any good but nothing was impossible until all options were explored. She offered the desperate princess a soft smile, placing one hand comfortingly upon the girls shoulder whilst focusing upon her attempt at performing a miracle. ~
Defrim Rose [6:55 PM]
Cyrren wanted to tell Neviah not to waste her effort the boy was gone, but he dared not utter such a thing before Aerona. Rehor had been Aerona's twin, and the two had rarely been apart. She would often join Rehor when he went on hunts with Cyrren. She didn't join in the killing of the beast as much as her brother, but she had to be there at his side. He couldn't imagine what it was like not to see the two of them together more than that he didn't think Aerona would know what to do with that knowledge. It was one she was going to have to face, but he was going to give her time to process what happened before pointing it out to her. However, what he could do was to make this monster paid for what it had done. "I understand all I need to. It killed my son." He yanked it's blade out of the monster back and just as he was lowering it to dig the blade into the creature's back it moved knocking Cyrren off. He rolled, landing on its feet and moved to attack the beast again.
Aureline Rose [8:06 PM]
She knew it had killed his son but it had only been protecting the young one. "Damn it. You need to listen to me!" She shouted at the King as she tried to climb out of the monster's hand. It to was being stubborn not wanting her to get hurt in the battle. She needed to get between the two before it got worst. She moved out the creature noting that Cy was now on the ground moved its hand down towards her to cover her from any blows to another it might seem like the claws were heading right for the young woman.
Aerona Lyvanna [8:11 PM]
-She stayed with her brother glancing at the witch as she tried to heal him her eyes hopeful her attention focused only on him. It was as if everything else in the woods had faded to nothing and all she saw was Re's lifeless body which she clung to rocking back and forth. Whispering softly into his ears words that probably couldn't be heard or were not comprehensible through the sobs that seemed to come in sudden burst between the pleas.-
Davina Conant [8:16 PM]
~ Cyrren could have told her not to bother, it wouldn't have stopped her from following this course of action. It was her decision after all on what she considered a waste of her effort. And if she didn't try, if nobody tried all the young princess would see is everyone giving up on her brother. To her that would hurt more. The effort of attempting to heal someone clearly dead was likely taking its toll on the witch, judging by the way she gritted her teeth. When nothing happened after several moments of trying, she turned her attention towards the King and his fight with the monster. ~ Perhaps you ought to hear the girl out. Nobody else has to die today.
Defrim Rose [2:13 PM]
Cyrren knew the monster had cause to attack his son. The proof was within the arrow of the tinier monster peeking out from behind the bigger one. He knew it was the foolishness of youth that had been Rehor's downfall. Yet, he could not yell and scream at him for his stupidly. His boy was dead. Oh, how he wished that a simple prayer could bring him back. He wished that a simple prayer would bring back his youngest. No one knew how many times he went into Aelos' temple and prayed for the impossible, and to wake up to hear Jacek laughing as his tiny feet running up and down the hall besides Cyrren's chamber. Yet, it never happened and it never would. Just like nothing any of them would do now would bring Rehor back. It did not matter how much magic Neviah poured into his boy. He would be dead. He did appreciate the effort even if he knew it was done in vain. He had been on plenty of hunts to know when the injury was fatal. He had even put people out of the misery. The thought hit him again his boy was dead and while he could not bring him back he could kill the thing that had killed him. "I don't need to listen to you. Nothing you'll say will change my mind. That thing will die." He spat the word thing out like it was something vile, but it was not disgust but rather grief that him speaking this way. "That thing does." He snarled at Neviah. Again, this anger was the result of grief and not anything to do with her. He clung to his rage. He rather had the fire of rage burning within his vein than the crushing weight of sorrow.
He was not a man whom knew what to do with sorrow. He was not a crier. If something hurt him he preferred to hurt it back. Which was why the monster had to die. He aimed his sword to cut through the monster hand as its claws head right towards Ivy. See he wanted to scream the monster tried to attack you. Do you still think I should talk to it.
Aureline Rose [4:56 PM]
If he knew why the heck was he still attacking the thing? Would he do the same to a person whom his son had attacked and had killed him in defense? She doubted it very much. She understood he was hurting but you didn't make something horrible right with another horrible deed. It just didn't work that way. "It isn't a thing." She spat back her anger matching his own. "And by the dragons you do need to listen." She looked up at the monster lost its hand. "You dummy it wasn't trying to hurt me!" She said moving towards the beast as it fell forward the loss of blood causing it to struggle to move. It was finished and she knew it as she whirled on the king. "Does this make you happy? Do you even know what you removed from the world! People hunt to prove their worth, attack the young of the creatures of the world, tear down their homes, but when they fight back we call them monsters."
She tok each step towards the king away of the great beast behind her watching her every move each breath growing morew shallow. "How dare it protect its young. Or fight back when someone intrudes on its home. Beasts really should just lay down for the path and glory of man. Isn't that right? You made something sad sadder not better. And now instead of losing one precious life to foolishness we lost two."
Azrielle Nimesin [5:04 PM]
-She had went looking for Ivy to talk to her just as she promised she would. However, it seemed her daughter had gone for a walk. She never worried about her daughter in the woods. The creatures of the world seemed to like her. However, the scene she was to come upon was like a nightmare. The prince dead and his twin crying over him. A witch she guess trying to fix him and a massive beast dying on the ground and in the center Cy upset about his son and using rage to mask it and Ivy upset and mad at not being listened to and the loss of life. Knowing them both as she did she knew they both had tempers. ivy got hers from her father. This was not how she wanted them to meet and before she could stop herself.- Ivy...don't yell at your father. -The words slipped out like buuter. Words she thought she might never say as shetook a breath.- Ivy Cyyrren is your father. I was coming to tell you. I didn't want you to find out this way.
Aerona Lyvanna [5:06 PM]
-When nothing that was tried seemed to help her brother she just continued to rock his body. The drama going on around her not registering. She didn't know what to do. She followed him everywhere but he was suddenly going where she could not. It felt like everything was crumbling under her feet.-
Davina Conant [5:15 PM]
~ She'd failed in her attempt to miraculously fix the young Prince, a fact that bothered her. Especially if one noted the look upon her face. There was nothing else for her to do but put a comforting arm around Aerona. When the king snapped at her, she just shook her head, barely restraining the urge to glare at him. He was hurting, she knew that but that didn't mean his snappish behaviour wasn't irking her. She blinked at the appearance of the blonde elf. The drama it seemed just kept getting worse. ~
Defrim Rose [5:44 PM]
Why did she think? Because the thing had killed his son. It didn't matter if its reason was justified. The only thing he knew was his son was dead and that he needed to ease his pain, and killing the thing was the only way he could think of doing it. He didn't expect Ivy to understand the grief of losing a child. She was not a parent. That just showed how little she knew him. He might kill someone for killing his son in self defense, but he also knew that Rehor would never have attacked a person without cause so he would know their plea of self defense was a lie. However, that was neither here nor there. "I don't need to do any such thing." He snarled at Ivy. A gleeful satisfaction filled him upon seeing the hand fall free from the rest of the beast. "The monster that killed my son." The monster had only lost its hand that didn't necessarily mean it was dead. If one closed the wound it could still be saved, but he didn't tell Ivy this. He wouldn't tell her this. He wanted to see this thing die. "No, what you mean is how dare I care more about my son than the beast that killed him. How dare I ensure that no other children lives are lost because all those things know how to do is kill." He was not just speaking of the monster before him, but every monster that one might come upon during their travels.
"You think you know of sorrow, but you know nothing. That things death will not make the world sadder. The world will become a brighter place with things like that gone. Oh, if I could rid of the world of every last one of them I would---without a second thought." It was not for the glory of man he would want to do such a thing, but for the protection of his children that he would. He didn't care how Neviah took his words. He didn't care how anyone took his words. He didn't even glance towards the witch to see how she might have reacted nor towards his daughter whose grief he could not bare to look upon--not while his was still fresh within his mind and he knew there was nothing he could do to ease her pain. Instead, he kept his eyes pinned upon Ivy and the monster whom was slowly dying besides her. "There is little you can do about that now." He told Azielle.

The snarl had the red head wanting to kick him but she managed to keep the impulse to herself.Of course his son wouldn't do that to a person but to a creature of the forest why not. It was perfectly fine and THAT was the problem. The lives of men had no more value than any other living thing. It was the same to her. And how she wished others could see it. Strange Ivy with her crazy ideas. "No what I mean is how dare you take the act of a boy who decided to come into another's home for no reason other than." She paused. "Damn if I know to prove something more than likely to himself, or the world, or you. Something like that. Pick on a child by shooting it making it cry and following it home. And when killed because of this act attack the homeowner for defending his young. A beast that has more than paid his dues to the world."
She sighed. "You weren't protecting your child he was already gone and this wasn't justice. He wasn't murdered in cold blood. Have you ever been hunted? If so you know what that baby monster felt. To them we are the monsters and there are so many ways we can live together. if people would just open up their freaking minds." She paused seeing her mother her head tilted to the side as the words tumbled out and she froze. Her gaze turning back to Cy with a look of doubt.
The sudden onslaught of emotions could be seen on her face. She had always wondered about her father and a part of her just wanted to suddenly start babbling but then she remembered the monster and her face turned sad. "I want to say I don't believe you but it really would be just my luck. Ivy the strange. She has such crazy ideas. I always thought he would be the person that might actually listen to me. Maybe understand cause my so called craziness had to come from somewhere. But no he is so far from me. A hunter of great skill. A killer of my friends. I don't care if you are my father. I hate you! And I'm going home!" With that she turned moving through the woods away from them.
Azrielle Nimesin [6:34 PM]
-She just stared at the two of them mostly because talking to either when they were like this was like pulling teeth. It seemed she was believed as her daughter took off and she turned to move towards Cy she had to be careful here but she would focus on the easy and logical.- We should get Aerona...and your son's body back. Come on let me help you.
Aerona Lyvanna [6:36 PM]
-She looked at Nev who was trying to comfort her but didn't seem to register her. She seemed to register nothing till she heard Azrielle's words.- No we are both staying here. He can't leave this spot on his own so here he will stay. He hates not doing stuff on his own. And so here I will stay too.
Davina Conant [6:40 PM]
~ She didn't seem to mind not being noticed, it didn't stop her doing her part. Her eyes followed Ivy as the redhead took off, blinking and shaking her head in a sorrowful sort of manner. She turned her attention back towards the Princess at her side, when she speaks her tone is almost gentle. ~ You can't stay out here. It'll be safer at home.
Defrim Rose [7:22 PM]
The creatures of the forest were not sentient beings. Their lives did not have as much value as his son or even Neviah. "More than pay its due." He snorted at those words as if he found them to be hilarious. "That is an outright lie. That beast dues will only be paid when it is dead" He took a step towards Ivy--rage fueling his action. He didn't need her to tell him that his son was dead, but more than that her words showed just how little she know. "Rehor is not my only child, and I wasn't claiming my decision was fueled by a need for justice. It doesn't matter if his murdered was in cold blood or not. That thing killed my son and I will have its hide as payment. Those things don't feel. They are incapable of such a thing. It could have disarmed my son, rendered him incapable of killing but instead it killed him. It killed my son. What part of that don't you understand? Am I suppose to forgive it simply because you think I should empathize with something unworthy of such a thing?" It didn't matter to him if she believed what had been said about him being his father. "Those things are incapable of being anyone's friends." He said nothing to her words about hating him. Truth be told, his children had uttered such words to him more times than he could count. Whether he believed she actually meant it he didn't know nor did he show whether or not those words had effected him. He watched her go before snapping his eyes towards Azrielle. "It seems your daughter loves her beast more than man."
He used the world man to describe all the sentient people Antares whether they be human, witch, fae, elf or the number of other people. He moved towards where his son was laying, forgetting for the moment the monster whose hand he had sliced off. "He's not going to get up, Rona" He spoke gently to his daughter, kneeling next to her. "He's not going to do anything again."
Azrielle Nimesin [7:29 PM]
-She sighed. Her eyes moving after Ivy. She wasn't sure how much of the truth of Ivy he was ready to hear at this point. She also was no longer sure he would want to claim her or Ivy would let him for that matter.- Ivy values all life as the same. As strange as it might seem they are her friends. -She replied looking down at the young princess and the witch who was talking to her.-
Aerona Lyvanna [7:32 PM]
-She looked at Nev and tilted her head.- I stay with my brother. -She said as if the woman had said the silliest thing ever.- Regardless of the danger. -She blinked at her father.- Of course not and neither am I. We do everything the same. Have you forgotten. -Her tone flat.- Best get along daddy. Kyveli is waiting to talk to you.
Davina Conant [7:39 PM]
~ She wasn't sure what to say, she'd never been very good at heavy emotions. She was mischievous, slightly wicked and a bit of a party girl. But when it came down to something like this she was at a loss. Her magic hadn't done a damn thing in this situation, she knew the boy had been up to something. She should have revealed herself sooner. Stopped this. She blew out a breath. ~ We'll take him back with us. Nobody is leaving anyone behind. ~ Her eyes lifted to glance at Cyrren. A helpless sort of expression marring her features. ~
Defrim Rose [8:28 PM]
He had all the information he cared to regarding Ivy for the moment. She had made it perfectly clear that she cared more for the monster than she did his son. He didn't expect her to care for his son, at least not in the manner he did. She could have thought Rehor had been foolish rushing into the forest as he had. He had been. Yet, it seemed that she was more sadden by the death of the monster--the thing not worthy of her tears than that of a human child. That what his son had been. Just a child. Sure, he was sixteen. Some might even claim he was a man grown. but anyone whom had seen a sixteen year old knew just how much of a child they were. "Those things aren't friends." He snarled. "He's dead. Aerona." Those words were said firmly but affectionally. He did not wish to break her heart, but he knew that she needed see the truth before they would be able to proceed with moving his body back to the castle. He did not blame Neviah for not revealing herself sooner even if she had it was doubtful she would have been able to stop him. So stubborn were his boy---a trait that many of his children shared.
Rehor Lyvanna [8:41 PM]
*While everyone was distracted the monster could have fled the scene to nurse its wound, but instead it inched closer to the group, blood dripping from its wound. The bleeding had slowed down considerably but the injuries still pained it. This was evident in the way the so called monster moved. It reached its other clawed hand towards the boy, engulfing the child within. That what Rehor had been--a child. No more older than his own whom the boy had tried kill. Why the beast did not know, but he had a good guess. He was young and wished to prove himself. He could see his own child doing the same thing. How many of his own offspring had perished because they sought to prove themselves against the swords of man or fae or elves or as Cyrren would call them the sentient beings of this world.* "I'm sorry" *The beast managed to say through his words sounded more like growls than true words, but they were still clear enough that those gathered would comprehend them than he started pushing his remaining life force into the boy. Maybe, this way he could be forgiven for his sins and allowed back into the great dragons graces.*
Azrielle Nimesin [8:51 PM]
-To Ivy the boy was important but he was gone she could not save him. She knew how her daughter thought all she could do was try to stop more bad from happening. It was hard to explain how her daughter saw the wotld. By the dragons she had a hard time grasping it herself.- There might have been a time I would have agreed but after the things I have seen. -She shook her head perhaps a conversation for another day if ever.- Princess Aerona if he stays out here...well...he needs a proper burial. You do want him to return to the dragons right?
Aerona Lyvanna [8:57 PM]
-She glared at each of them in turn not quite getting everything but knowing they wanted to move him.- Maybe I should be dead too. -She spat back at her father clearly not handling it well. She noticed the beast for a moment confusion on her face.- Fine. -She said after a moment.- But the beast comes too. They should be buried together so Re doesn't have to be alone. And because...it just should be. -She said not understanding the feeling but she would take no argument.=
Davina Conant [9:00 PM]
~ She didn't flinch with the glare the Princess threw her way, truth be told she'd stopped paying attention to the way the king and the elf woman were trying to reason with her. Her focus had drifted to the creature inching itself closer, head tilting to the side as she studied it's mannerisms. It seemed almost...apologetic. ~ Am I crazy or did the creature apologise? ~ She flitted a glance towards the others. ~
Defrim Rose [9:45 PM]
Killing that monster was not something bad happening. It was good. It was erasing one more monster from the world. Truth be told, he should make sure that the baby monster followed suit that way he could stop its killing spree before it could start. That what would happen. That was the only thing that could happen. The only thing these beast know how to do was kill. "Just because Ivy have deluded herself into thinking those things are her friend doesn't mean they are" Just as soon as those words escaped his lips he noticed the monster. How did he miss it. His first thought was to yell at it to get away from his boy, but than he noticed the light escaping from the monster and into his boy.

*As the monster pushed its life into the boy the beast drifted away to reveal that of a man and that too faded away until there was nothing but dust blowing away in the breeze. Nothing happened. Rehor appeared to be as dead as he had been before the monster tried to give him its life force*
Azrielle Nimesin [9:57 PM]
It in't a delusion. -She said softly.- However, iy isn't something to talk about now. -Or maybe ever she added silently to herself.- You have bigger things to worry about. -Placing a hand lightly on his arm she suddenly blinked as the creature moved towards the boy. Unsure what he had done she blinked at the form of the man as he turned to dust. She really wished she knew more.-
Aerona Lyvanna [9:59 PM]
-She leaned forward watching the creature for the longest time. However when noting happened and the creature was gone she began to rock again. That wasn't suppose to happen. She no longer knew what to do.-
Davina Conant [10:04 PM]
~ The monster became a man and then disappeared? Was that normal? She stared at the spot where it had been for a long moment in confusion. Then drifted her eyes to where the smaller creature had been. Seeing the larger one become a person moments before it ceased to be almost made her feel bad for the pain the little one had to be in. She bit her lip, turning the thought over in her mind as she waited to see what would happen. ~
Defrim Rose [10:24 PM]
He snorted at Azrielle's words. "Of course it is." Of course, he didn't blaming her for wanting to believe that her daughter wasn't suffering from delusions. He might have clung to the same belief if...well, he couldn't say if it was his daughter. Ivy was even if she wished otherwise. Yet, he only recently met her and even more recently discovered she was his child. He did not watch her grow up. This allowed him to be a little more objective about her. He was uncertain what had happened. Why had the creature appeared to be a man for just a moment. It was not long enough to truly see its face. Was it a metaphor of some kind? Had the creature been granted a soul because for the first time in its miserable existence it had tried to do something...unmonsterous? Yet, it seemed that the action was all for naught, at least from where his son was concerned.
Rehor Lyvanna [10:34 PM]
*The smaller creature had hidden behind a tree----only its head was poking out, and the very moment that the bigger one had turned to dust it let out a wail. There was nothing human about the sound yet it was heartbreaking all the same. Its cries continued and when Neviah glanced at it the creature pulled its head behind the tree as if it did not wish for her to see it why it cried. Yet, its sobs did not cease. If anything it seemed to grow worse.* "Papa" *That single word seemed to repeat itself within the sobs, and like its father while the word were clear there was nothing human about it.*
Aureline Rose [10:37 PM]
She was halfway home when it suddenly occurred to her she had forgot something. She mumbled turning around moving quickly before the monster hater had more blood. Coming upon the beast as it vanished she sighed. "He was a dragon priest. Not that I expect anyone to care." She said motioning the baby to come to her.
Azrielle Nimesin [10:43 PM]
-The cries were sad as she frowned at the baby beast. Looking towards the king.- Oh for the love of the dragons. -She said rubbing her temple as Ivy returned? Right for the baby she should have seen that.-
Aerona Lyvanna [10:44 PM]
-She looked at the crying creature and frowned. The noise reminded her of the sounds it made while fleeing from her brother. She shook her head.- You need to get back daddy. It is important.
Davina Conant [10:49 PM]
~ The creatures cries tore at her, a frown marring her brow as her eyes snapped towards Ivy. ~ A...dragon priest? ~ Were dragon priests supposed to look the way the beast had? She rubbed her temples before coming to a snap decision. Pushing up from her spot beside Aerona, she walked towards where Ivy stood. ~ I can't stand to hear the suffering anymore. If you can keep the youngster calm I...I might be able to heal it's injury. ~ It wasn't much use for Rehor. But she didn't think the baby was that badly hurt. ~
Defrim Rose [11:02 PM]
Cyrren would be lying if he claimed that the baby's monster cries did not effect him. It moved him more than he cared to admit. He tried to tell himself that it was just a trick. There were stories of people hearing cries within the various forest of the world and going to investigate only to be killed by a monster. Yet, he could not deny the fact that while the cries were heartbreaking that it sounded nothing like the cries of a human. This made him believe that this might be true sorrow rather than a trick. "More likely he had been cursed. Such things happen when one displeases the great dragons." There were many stories of such a thing happening. Stories of nations that no longer exists---nations that have fallen to ruins due to doing things that displeased the great dragons and some claim their high priest and priestess still roam the earth as hideous monsters. He had thought that these were nothing more than wild tails until Dessan had returned from his journey to Valikov, and revealed that the stories of how the first vampires came to be were true. "I am not going without you" He told Aerona. He would not leave her alone with her grief within these woods.
Rehor Lyvanna [11:13 PM]
*The baby rushed towards Ivy in an mannerism that screamed both excitement and sorrow. The thing wrapped itself around her. Not in a way that would cause Ivy harm, but in a way that seemed to say it was hugging her---seeking comfort from her in its movement of grief. Its cries now were more out of an internal pain than an external one. While its physical injury was still hurting it this was not what was causing it to wail in the manner it was.*
Aureline Rose [11:22 PM]
She looked at Nev as she moved towards her than the baby as it hugged her. She reached down patting it. "The wound isn't that bad but you can heal it if you like. He won't hurt you. I know a pack close to my home that will take him in so he won't be alone. And yes he was a priest he lost his priestess and was overcome by grief and shame till he became as you saw him. Traveling alone till another ancient creature found him teaching him the ways of the woods. They were together for a long time and she died bringing forth their son. The only thing he had in the world. When I explained the prince was just a child like his he was wracked with guilt and wanted to help but...he was attacked before he could decide whether to act or how."
Azrielle Nimesin [11:23 PM]
-She knew her daughter was telling the truth she wasn't the type to lie. She told the truth even when it made you mad at her. She just keep her eye on Ivy and the creature waiting to see what would happen next.-
Aerona Lyvanna [11:25 PM]
-Her eyes moved towards her father as she shook her head. She was glad the baby had found a friend maybe the crying would stop.- Silly. Tjis is my home. Now go Kyveli needs to talk to you. Mom needs you. And so does Caddy. Wherever she went. Probably got eaten by a fish.
Davina Conant [11:29 PM]
~ The story broke her heart a little, though it didn't show on her face. She nodded and crouched at eye level with the small creature. ~ Hi there. Let me help you with that. ~ Slowly as if afraid she'd spook the poor thing, she reached forward, removing the arrow if it was still poking out of the wound. Letting her magic flow forth to seal the wound up when she was done. ~ I don't think fishes eat people. ~ She murmured over her shoulder towards the young Princess before tilting her head up to glance at Ivy again. ~ Before he vanished...what was he trying to do?
Defrim Rose [11:39 PM]
"He was trying to heal my boy" It had not worked, but like with Neviah's own attempt Cyrren had appreciated the gesture. Ivy's words made sense. A high priest whom had perished before their high priestess--especially if their high priestess had not died of natural causes--would be filled with such immense grief and shame. "The forest is not your home, Rona." He said nothing to her words regarding his other two daughters and their mother needing him. They can wait. "They might if they are big enough." And that would just be his luck. Lose one child only to discover that another had been eaten by a fish.
Rehor Lyvanna [11:45 PM]
*The baby looked at Neviah with uncertainty, but since Ivy seemed to trust her it made no attempt to snarl or snap at her. It just watched her, letting out a sound that sounded something like a mixture of a whine and yelp when she removed the arrow. While this was all happening Rehor begun to stir. It was nothing more than a twitch here and there than he begun to cough*
Aureline Rose [11:51 PM]
She nodded at the king's words. "Indeed. Though normal one must be whole and well to share a life force with someone." She just patted the baby as it was being healed keeping it as calm as she could. Too bad we can't mend broken hearts." She told the witch sadly.
Azrielle Nimesin [11:52 PM]
-At this point she was simply being quiet watching in case she was needed for something. And because her daughter was back and who knew how long Ivy would remain.-
Aerona Lyvanna [11:54 PM]
Yes. It is where my brother's soul probably is. -He really was annoying right now. She let out a sigh as she looked at her father. She needed something. Who knew exactly what but her mind was clearly not all the way there at the moment.-
Davina Conant [11:58 PM]
~ Understanding lit up her eyes with the explanations. ~ I see. Trying to put right what happened in a way. ~ She spoke the words quietly before whispering a quick apology to the little creature. Pulling the arrow out like that had to hurt, even if it was only a brief sting. She reached forth to pet it gently herself when she was done with her healing. ~ There you go. ~ She wouldn't say it was all better, because it wasn't. The sorrow it felt would still linger. ~ Indeed. Hopefully time will make it hurt less.
Defrim Rose [12:19 AM]
"Surely, he had to known that the effort was in vain." The creature had to know that it would not be able to bring his son back. Nothing would. "Your brother soul is with the great dragons." It is said that when a person dies that their soul went into the heaven and that the stars were the souls of these departed dancing with the dragons within the sky.
Rehor Lyvanna [12:26 AM]
*The creature felt surprising smooth. It didn't feel completely such, but it felt much smoother than it might have appeared. The creature chirped something akin to a thank than it eyes snapped towards Rehor whose cough had grown worse. Soon he sounded like he was trying to cough up a lung. He slowly pushed himself. More coughing followed and thick black blood flew forth from his lips*
Aureline Rose [12:28 AM]
Ivy's eyes moved towards the prince. "Umm...that shouldn't be possible?" She sounded unsure but what she knew suggested otherwise as she took a step forward tilting her head.
Azrielle Nimesin [12:29 AM]
-She was sure her daughter had not encountered everything and well it seemed something was happening. Her eyes moved towards the king unsure.-
Aerona Lyvanna [12:31 AM]
-She wanted to argue with her father that her brother would not leave her behind. When he started to cough and move she leaned closer to him.- Re?
Davina Conant [12:35 AM]
~ The creatures smooth skin almost made her not want to stop her petting. The little chirp making her smile softly. ~ You're welcome. ~ As if she instinctively knew that's what it had been trying to say. She followed the creatures gaze a second later and gaped. ~ Sweet dragons above...I thought you said the former priest failed in his attempt...
Defrim Rose [12:39 AM]
"It should have." Cyrren said and this was true. Everything Ivy had said suggested that such a thing couldn't be possible. Yet, here his son was....moving. He watched him, struggle to his hands and knees. He didn't know what to think. What had the beast magic done to his boy? Was he nothing more than a walking corpse? Would he know them when he looked upon them?
Rehor Lyvanna [12:44 AM]
*A snarl escaped from Rehor's lips. It sounded nothing human. Truth be told, none of those so called sentient beings could make the sound that came from him. It was primal. Ancient. His head snapped towards Aerona upon hearing her say his name, and even if his gaze was directed towards her the others could see his eyes and those eyes were not human. They were eyes of a dragon. He lunched towards his sister changing form within a blink of an eye and took off into the air with her snugged within his talons*
Aureline Rose [12:47 AM]
It seemed it was possible. But something seemed off. Was he like the priest? Sort of she tilted her head as he took off. The baby squealing and jumping into the sky flying after. "The prince said mine. And the baby said whee."
Azrielle Nimesin [12:49 AM]
What the? -She said as the boy came back. She had seen some strange things but this was new.- Okay.
Aerona Lyvanna [12:49 AM]
-She was suddenly whisked away by her dragon brother.-
Davina Conant [12:52 AM]
~ She wasn't quite sure what exactly just happened. Stood blinking as the resurrected prince turned dragon snatched his sister and took off. With the little one she'd just healed following soon after. ~ I...what... ~ She couldn't seem to form a complete sentence. ~
Defrim Rose [12:56 AM]
It seemed that not know what the fuck just happened was a common theme because Cyrren stared at the spot where his son and daughter had been with an confused expression written upon his face. "What just happened?" He managed to ask the question after a long silence. Had his son become like the priest? He didn't think the priest soul had simple transferred to his boy. He doubted he would snatch Aerona in the manner he had unless some of Rehor remained behind. Had their souls merged? He turned his gaze towards the others as if one of them might have the answer that none of them did.
Rehor Lyvanna [12:56 AM]
(Everyone having the exact same reaction more or less is amusing.)
Aureline Rose [12:59 AM]
It was the closest she could think. The creature had to little life force and that caused something strange to happen. Maybe the boy's soul had lingered or something. She looked at Nev. "You did a great job healing." She said as if that finished the sentence before blinking at Cy. "Congrats, It is a boy. Sort of."
Azrielle Nimesin [1:00 AM]
-Leave it to Ivy to say something like that.- Cy maybe you should be getting back. I have no answers.
Davina Conant [1:02 AM]
I...have absolutely no idea. ~ She answered the king, a dumbfounded expression still written quite clearly upon her face. ~ Thanks. ~ She added towards Ivy with a wry grin. ~ I need a drink...this day has gone from one extreme to another..
Defrim Rose [1:07 AM]
"I would hope so. I wouldn't be able to handle my son having a sex change on top of his whatever that was transformation." There was a time when he said one changing their gender was impossible. Through, he had heard such a thing happening in stories, but that was neither here nor there. What mattered was now he wasn't certain if such a thing was impossible. He saw someone rise from the dead and become whatever he was. "You are probably. Knowing my luck I will probably find Caddy had managed to turn herself into a fish." Than there was whatever it was Kyveli had wished to discuss and whatever it was about his wife. "You and me both." He told Neviah. A good rich mead sounded rather good right now, but that would have to wait. He had to find another wayward child and figure out how to tell the others what had transpired just now.
Aureline Rose [1:10 AM]
"A drink? There is a river near here. Lots of water." She said missing the point. She glanced at her mom.. "Okay. Bye. I will go home now."
Azrielle Nimesin [1:11 AM]
-It was true he still had things to do. She blinked at Ivy and nodded.- Come on. I will help you try and explain this Cy.
Davina Conant [1:13 AM]
I was thinking something a wee bit stronger than water. ~ She quipped before nodding and bidding them all a farewell. Before heading back the way she'd come. Perhaps she'll find an inn with some good strong alcohol. And maybe some mischief to distract her from all this weirdness. ~
Rehor Lyvanna [1:16 AM]
*And for the rest of the baby monster's life whenever it gets any injury---even a splinter it will come rushing for Neviah to heal it*
Defrim Rose [1:17 AM]
"Not that type of drink." Cyrren told Ivy. He just laughed at Azrielle words. "I don't know if that was possible." With that said he begun to march back towards the city.
Aureline Rose [1:19 AM]
She shrugged as she darted off through the woods.
Azrielle Nimesin [1:19 AM]
Indeed. -She said as she followed after him.-
Rehor Lyvanna [1:20 AM]
*Also the baby monster will decide to find Neviah while she is having her drink and play peek-a-boo with her through the window*
